Amy's Weekly Writeup
What you need to know for the week ahead (10/28-11/1, 2019)
Shout Out!
This week's Shout Out goes to Tina Crossman for taking on the Lasagna Dinner project! Not only is she cooking an amazing meal tonight, she's taken on the full organization of the whole event, including scheduling and overseeing student workers. And all so that we can have more money available for field trips. Thanks, Tina!

News, Updates, and Reminders
- A reminder that your SMART goals need to be posted in Google Classroom by next Friday, Nov. 1st.
- As I mentioned at our meeting on Wednesday, I'm anticipating a budget chill in the near future. If there is anything you know you are going to need, please let me know asap.
- We would like to have a more consistent approach to how the SCA members are utilized in our schools. It is important to make sure the lessons provided are standards-based and also support the mission of the SCA. This year, we are asking teachers to have SCA members supplement the lessons/units taught by the classroom teachers. This may include SCA members facilitating a project, game or extension related to the content presented by the teachers. Teachers will need to communicate ahead of time with SCA members so they have time to plan.
- For those that may not yet be aware, Sue Booth-Daniels is going to be out for few weeks. Carrie Hill will be covering her duties in first grade and Mr. Steve Coutu will be filling in for Carrie.
- Sarah Jetzon asked me to let you all know that Gradebook is up and running and ready for this year's grades whenever folks are ready to begin inputting information. I believe Virginia is going to be reaching out to see if anyone needs a refresher.
