Elevating the Campus
Our “Elevating the Campus” initiatives for campus beautification and improving infrastructure are taking shape as the initial project has been completed. GWA corporate partner ER Snell replaced the pavement and drainage pipes at the front entrance, and repaved the front driveway and parking lots, giving Bulldog Drive a fresh, new, durable surface. Special thanks to ER Snell Asst. Vice President Jon Thomas Byrd (GWA ’07) for his leadership and oversight on the project and to all who contributed to our Elevating the Campus campaign!
Please join us in thanking our 2024-2025 Corporate Partners. We are proud to have such
dedicated partners who share our vision and commitment to excellence. Their involvement not only strengthens our school but also fosters a sense of community and collaboration that extends beyond our campus. We look forward to continuing our partnership and achieving great things together in the year ahead.
Mandatory Senior Class Meeting
This year, the College Counseling office is hosting our mandatory Senior College Meeting on Wednesday, August 21 at 6 p.m. We will keep it to one hour and cover any and all college related aspects. If you have a conflict, please let Mr. Terrell or Ms. Phillips know.
We ask every senior (and at least one parent) to attend. Our meeting will be in the cafeteria.
(Currently, there are no athletic events that night but there is band concert at 7:30 p.m.)
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Jon Terrell
Director of College Counseling
Magnus Health Implementation
We are excited to be implementing Magnus Health for managing and collecting necessary health information for our students. An email was sent to all parents with instructions to access your Magnus Health Portal where you can upload your sports physicals, and complete clinic forms. The forms are available on gwa.com - on the main athletics page and band page. Please complete all necessary paperwork by Aug. 1, 2024. Reach out to Amber Thomason, athomason@gwa.com with any questions or for help accessing your portal.
Join the Club!
Dear GWA Families,
We are thrilled to announce the creation of George Walton Academy's official Athletic Booster Club, The Champions Club. This will replace all things Dawgs 360, which is going away this year. This dynamic, parent-led organization is dedicated to nurturing our student-athletes and fostering engagement and philanthropic support for all our athletic programs.
Similar to a Dawgs 360 Family Membership that included an all-season pass to GWA home athletic events, The Champions Club will now provide these benefits, and membership will be offered at three levels. All Champions Club memberships will include a digital all-season home-athletic-events pass (for all regular season events) through GoFan. Members will also receive two Champions Club 2024-25 car decals. Golden Bulldog Members will receive (1) Golden Bulldog car decal and the exclusive Golden Bulldog Seat Back located on the 50-yard line at Don Williams Stadium & Keith Henderson Field and at home basketball games.
Membership Levels:
Young Alumni (under 24 years old) & Grandparents: $100
Bulldog Family Membership: $300
Golden Bulldog Membership: $1,000

The Champions Club will also take over all Dawgs Unleashed events from prior years. For the 2024-2025 School Year, the Club will host our annual golf tournament, pickleball tournament, and new to the line-up this year, a cornhole tournament! More information on these events and sponsorship opportunities will be coming this fall. Stay tuned!
The Champions Club will host pregame tailgates from 6 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. before all home football games this fall and additional sports throughout the school year. Tailgates will feature food and drink, bounce houses, a DJ, and much more. We invite all our families to bring their lawn chairs, cornhole boards, and enthusiasm as we cheer on the Bulldogs! These events are open to all families, not just season ticket holders, so please come and join the fun!
We are very excited about The Champions Club and all it will do to support our growing athletic program! If you have questions about memberships, please contact championsclub@gwa.com.
Go Bulldogs!
