Happy Friday! We feel very grateful at Sunrise for a great first week and we hope your kiddos are feeling the same. We have all been impressed with how they have handled playing with what we have available on our blacktop area during recess. We are very thankful for the small group of families who helped draw lines for Four Square and Hopscotch over the weekend. In addition to putting up snow fence to protect our newly seeded grass. Mrs. Pfister wrote a grant for a Gagapit; that has been a huge hit on the playground as well.
You should have seen a field trip form come home this week. We have an incredible opportunity for our students to experience performances at the Door Community Auditorium. Please click on the link to see the line up. Thank you for sending payment for the performances throughout the year if you are able. If you are able to send extra payment for a family that is unable to pay, that would be very appreciated as well.
The first field trip is fast approaching! It is next week Thursday, September 12th and the entire school will attend. We are asking all students to wear their Sunrise T-shirts. We will distribute t-shirts to all new students on Wednesday, September 11. Thank you for filling out the form that was sent home with our new students so we can make sure to get them the correct size.
September 12th is also the date of our Sunrise Orientation! Please join us to learn more about your child's day and join us for pizza afterward (5:30 - 7 pm). If you have only one child, you can choose either twenty minute session. Otherwise, we have two sessions available for families who have children at multiple grade levels. The flyer below breaks it all down for you.
