Walnut Street Wildcat Newsletter
Wildcat Weekly!
Hello Wildcats!
I wanted to lead this week with our appreciation for your help in making the
#everystudentmatterseverymomentcounts initiative a reality thus far! The improvement we have made in just one year during the month of September is amazing. Our daily absence rate has improved. Our grade level attendance has improved across the board. We have improved our attendance in nearly every single category since last September. Let's keep up the good work!
On Monday, we held a professional development session for our teachers. Topics we went over as a professional team included Multitiered Systems of Support, data review, attendance data, prerequisite skill analysis, and digital math manipulative tools. Our staff also participated in fun Minute to Win It games! This was a very productive day and we thank Mrs. Norcross and all of our teachers for making it such a success.
Our PTO and PBSIS Team have been working hard in preparation of our Fall Festival. The event is slated for October 26 starting at 5:30 PM. There will be pumpkin picking, face painting, bounce houses, food, drinks, prizes, and much more! All information related to the event is below. The last day to sign up will be October 10. Either use the QR Code or click on the 'Cheddar Up' link. Don't miss out!
Our Halloween Parade Celebration will be held on October 30, 2023. Please see the letter below with important information related to costume guidelines, parade details, and other information. We are looking forward to a safe and fun event. Please review the letter and let's have an outstanding Halloween celebration!
