From the Principal's Desk—
Hello Hilltopper Families:
It’s hard to believe December is already here and the holidays are just around the corner at Park! The students were SO excited to play in the snow during recess and we appreciate you sending them to school with the right snow gear!
As we get closer to the end of the first semester, our students will be taking the MAP and DIBELS winter benchmark assessments next week. These assessments are important tools for measuring your child's academic progress halfway through the school year. The results will help us identify areas of strength and areas that may need extra focus, allowing us to better tailor our teaching to meet each child's individual needs.
Please encourage your child to approach these assessments with a positive attitude and remind them that these tests are an opportunity to showcase their learning and growth. Ensure they get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast and arrive on time for school. If your child has any concerns or worries about the tests, offer words of encouragement and reassurance.
We truly appreciate your continued support in helping ensure a smooth benchmarking experience for our students. By working together, we can create an environment where each child feels confident and motivated to show their abilities and continue growing academically.
As we enter the holiday season, I want to thank you again for trusting us with your children each day. We’re excited for a successful winter assessment period and continued growth for all our students!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Makee

The cafeteria staff will determine the weekly winning class.
