PTO In Action
Green Team: New Brackett Pollinator Garden
Our Green Team secured an AEF grant to engage students in a new pollinator garden! Gillian Wright-Cassone leads the process of turning the area between the street and the basketball court into three native learning gardens. Brackett students will learn how to grown native plants from seed, make all plant markers, learn how to harvest and package seeds for the community to take, and be able to see butterfly life stages and get to know our native pollinators and birds up close.
Brackett Alumni Scholarships
Congratulations to our very own Brackett alumni Nicholas Rudolph and Anthony Uy on graduating from Arlington High School. We are honored to award Nicholas & Anthony with Brackett PTO Scholarships of $1000. Best of luck to these worthy students!
Lost or Damaged Library Books
As the 2024-2025 school year comes to a close, if you have realized that you have lost/damaged a school library book, please use this form to anonymously share the title and author so the PTO can replace it for the upcoming school year!
Last Call for Lost & Found
Items in the Lost & Found will be donated on June 20th! We will bring out the rack a few more times this year (at drop off and pick up), and items can also be claimed in the cafeteria at any point.
Fourth Grade Parent/Caregiver Volunteers Needed!
The Fifth Grade Celebration of Learning (formerly Fifth Grade Graduation) is on Monday, June 16.
It’s a Brackett tradition for 4th grade parents/caregivers to volunteer at the Celebration of Learning so that the 5th grade families can sit back and enjoy the celebration. The Celebration has already been planned by the Fifth Grade Committee, 4th grade parent/caregiver volunteers are just asked to help on the day of the celebration.
Tasks include:
Setting up chairs and decorations before the celebration (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.)
Taking pictures during the celebration (12:45-2:15 p.m.)
Cleaning up and breaking down afterwards (2:00-2:30/3:00 p.m.)
We are looking for volunteers on Monday, June 16, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. You do not need to volunteer for the entire celebration, even an hour or two is a HUGE help! There will be Fifth Grade Committee members there that will provide instructions/direction — we just need more hands to help.
If you can help, please email fifthgradecommittee@brackettpto.org with the window of time that you’re able to volunteer.
