Bristol Township School District
June/July 2024
Letter from the Superintendent
Dear Bristol Township School Community,
I hope you are all enjoying the start to your summer.
It was a busy, but productive, and celebratory month of June in the Bristol Township School District.
With the school year coming to a close, we had many opportunities to celebrate our students’ accomplishments, from concerts to award nights and culminating with the graduation of Truman High School’s Class of 2024.
I would like to thank the entire staff of the Bristol Township School District for all that they did to make the end of the school year, and so many of these concluding events, special for our students.
What we all want to see is our students doing well, and achieving great things, so this time of year is always special and enjoyable.
Our final newsletter of the year highlights many of these events and examples of student achievement, including a nice feature about two of our “Tigers becoming Princeton University Tigers.” Also check out the story on the community collaboration between the school district and the African-American Historical and Cultural Society of Bucks County.
In closing, to encourage student learning over the summer, our staff has put together summer learning resources at the elementary, middle, and high school level. Please check these out with your children this summer for fun STEM activities, books to read, games to sharpen math skills, and more. Additional resources include the Summer Meals program, providing free breakfast and lunch to students, and the 2024-25 school year calendar.
Please enjoy this month's newsletter and have a safe, relaxing summer!
Sincerely,
Michael Nitti
Superintendent of Schools

BTSD Music Night at Trenton Thunder
Bristol Township School District's Music Night at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark was held on Tuesday, June 4. Before the game, 200+ BTSD Band and Choir students performed outside the stadium and on the field!
The top five student ticket sellers threw out the first pitch and everyone enjoyed the Dollar Dog Night and Kids Eat Free promotions as the Thunder opened their season against the State College Spikes.
It was a beautiful night with a great crowd, including more than 1,100 guests from Bristol Township, to cheer on our students and the Trenton Thunder as they brought home an exciting win on a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth inning!
5th Grade Transition Day
BTSD 5th graders are ready for 6th grade! ⭐ At 5th Grade Transition Day, students had an amazing time getting a sneak peek into middle school life at Armstrong Middle School and Ben Franklin Middle School. They explored the buildings, learned about SWPBIS expectations, and got a taste of the middle school experience.
New 3D Printers
BTSD is grateful to receive a donation of 8 3D printers and filament from Bucks County Community College through a grant from the National Science Foundation.
The printers will be used at our elementary schools for our new STEAM classes and our middle schools.
