Dear PVE Families,
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the trust and support you have shown our staff. We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with your wonderful children each day.
This time of year is perfect for reflection, and I hope you find some restful moments to appreciate the many blessings we have in this life. Thank you for sharing your children with us; they are a joy to teach.
Wishing you a peaceful break filled with love and gratitude.

GROWING TOGETHER, LEARNING FOREVER
PRONGHORN PRIDE
Congratulations to this group of students who received recognition for being a great example of what it means to be a PVE Pronghorn. These students were caught modeling a school-wide expectation. Way to be #PronghornStrong!
Students have filled the KIND bucket with their Pronghorn Pride Tickets and have earned a Stuffy Day. Congratulations to our students for working on this critical character trait!
SAFETY
Important Safety Reminder for Our Students
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring a safe environment for our students.
I would like to remind everyone about the importance of educating our children about safety as they walk or ride to school. Please talk to your child about the following safety tips:
- Always look both ways before crossing the street.
- Be aware of cars and driveways when walking.
- Use the crossing guard to help cross the street and wait for their instructions before stepping onto the road.
- Remember to stay on the sidewalk behind the crossing guard until it is safe to cross.
Your partnership in reinforcing these safety measures at home is invaluable. Together, we can help keep our children safe in our neighborhoods.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

REMINDER FOR STUDENT CHECKOUT
Some gentle reminders about checking students out:
1. Please make sure you have your ID. Our system has had an update and will require your ID.
2. Plan accordingly for time. Students will not be called out of class prior to your arrival to the building.
3. If students are at recess, we ask that you prepare to pick them up either before or after this time. Our duties are busy watching students for safety and when we radio for them to look for a student, those eyes and supervision is taken away. (Therefore, we will not be calling for students while they are at their recess.)
We appreciate your help and support with this need.
ATTENDANCE
New this year, we have an automated system for calls! Don't worry, we are still answering calls as the first option; we know talking to someone right away is important. However, after business hours our phone to immediately change to an automated system. During business hours, the automated voicemail system will pick up after 4 rings, indicating that the front office staff is either on the phone or helping someone in the office.
You will have the option of the following when the automated system answers:
Press 1 for Office
Press 2 for Attendance
Press 3 for Health Office
Press 4 for Transportation
If you are simply calling to report your child's attendance, you may call 208-350-4498.
IF YOUR CHILD IS TO BE ABSENT 3 OR MORE DAYS...
We have shared the importance of daily attendance but know that absences do occur. If your child is going to be absent for more than 2 days, please make sure you connect with the office right away.
To help support their continued learning during this time, we will provide an independent study document for you to sign, along with tasks for your child to complete. Each grade level has prepared a set of assignments for the independent study form. While these assignments do not replace the core instruction your child will miss, they are designed to support their ongoing learning.
Please note, your child will still be responsible for completing any missed work upon their return.
