This Week's School Closure
Dear CCUSD Community,
Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 positive cases and the ongoing rapid spread of the Omicron variant, CCUSD is canceling school for three days, from Wednesday, January 19th through Friday, January 21st. This cancellation is in effect for all CCUSD programs, including the Office of Child Development, K-12 schools, and Culver City Adult School.
La Ballona will be closed on the following days:
Monday, 1/17- MLK Jr. Holiday
Tuesday, 1/18- Pupil Free Day
Wednesday, 1/19- School Closure
Thursday, 1/20- School Closure
Friday, 1/21- School Closure
*The loss of these 3 instructional days will be made up at a date to be determined later.
Food Services
Grab-n-Go lunches will be supplied for our students via Curb Side pick-up,
Time: 11:45 am to 1:00 pm at all school sites.
Families: You may pick-up meals for all students at one school site, saving you the time of traveling to different schools, i.e. if you have one student who attends El Marino and another who attends CCMS, please pick-up both lunches at one school site only.
All meals are provided at no cost.
Those Already Registered for Weekly Testing with LFN
The regular weekly testing will be held as a drive-thru event on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (January 18, 19 and 20). See the pdf & flyers below for Drive Through Information.
Should this plan change, we will update the community as soon as possible.
Sign-up information for this drive-thru testing will be going out as soon as it is ready.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING DRIVE
We are currently at $64,000, just a bit over half way to our yearly goal of raising $120,000 (approx $300/child)!
For this year's programs and supplies, we're in need of community support. Every donation pushes us closer to our goal; allowing us to create a platform for our students to access educational opportunities, tools and experiences the school might not otherwise be able to afford.
Ways to donate and help out:
Go to bit.ly/laballona and donate what you can!
By check, make payable to "La Ballona PTA" and return in an envelope to your classroom teacher.
Share this flyer with your friends, family, and local businesses!
Monthly donation option is available at https://laballonapta.org/donate
Ask your company if they offer matching gifts for employees!
