Important Information and Dates
- Teacher assignments for students in grades 1-5 will be emailed to parents/guardians the week of August 26th, before the family BBQ. If you do not see it in your inbox, please check your SPAM folder. If you need assistance, please contact the office. (503-431-4800 or athorderson@ttsd.k12.or.us)
- Teacher assignments for students in Kindergarten will be emailed to families on 9/5, after the Kinder Connect Meetings. Parents and students will have an opportunity to meet their assigned teacher at a special meet-and-greet on Friday, 9/6, from 3:00-4:00. We still encourage you to come to the school BBQ Open House planned for 8/29!
- Preschool welcome letters- will be emailed by the end of August.
- Bus Routes- typically are finalized prior to Labor Day weekend. As soon as we receive them, we will email them to all parents and you can pick up a copy in the office.
- Household Income Survey- You will notice when you log onto ParentVue that you will see a pop-up with the Household Income Survey. Because we have free meals for all this year, and no meal application is required, we have no way of capturing who may be eligible for Fee Waivers and reduced fees. By filling out this survey, the business office will know who qualifies for extra assistance. Please note that only the bookkeeper has access to this private information and only for the purpose of eligibility for partial or full reduction of fees for specific school activities, athletics and other school programs. If you have questions you may contact Ana Uriostegui at 503-431-4767 or Amanda Thorderson at 503-431-4801.
Welcome Back BBQ Open House
On Thursday, August 29th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. we will be hosting a free family barbecue with our partners at Horizon Community Care! The barbecue will be held on the patio at the back of the school. Watch for more details in the upcoming week. This is a great time to meet other families prior to the start of school! Grades 1-5 will have their teacher assignments prior to the open house, so you'll be able to meet your teachers, see your classroom, sign up to volunteer, and get more important information!
Kona Ice will also be here to do a fundraiser for our PTA during the BBQ from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Free Meals for All
Starting in the 2024/2025 School Year
All TTSD students attending a brick and mortar school building are eligible to receive one free complete breakfast and one free complete lunch each school day. You do not need to fill out a free and reduced meal application for this. You may still send your student with a lunch if you prefer.

Supply List Update
In order to lessen the impact on families, Tualatin Elementary will be providing the basic school supplies needed for students again this year. Please send your student with a backpack and reusable water bottle (labeled with their name).
If you need assistance in providing a backpack and reusable water bottle for your student, please fill out this form or contact Ana Uriostegui, our Family Partnership Advocate, at 503-431-4767 or auriostegui@ttsd.k12.or.us
Teachers are accepting donations of kleenex, individually wrapped snacks, and baby wipes. Contact the office to donate other school supplies. Due to new math curriculum, we are especially in need of thin black expo markers.
