Following the closure of Dennis Uniform, we have been diligently exploring options to ensure our students continue to have access to high-quality, affordable uniforms. We are excited to share that we have come to an agreement with Educational Outfitters as our second official uniform provider, joining Tommy Hilfiger in fulfilling the uniform needs for our school community.
Educational Outfitters offers a variety of uniform options that are identical to the styles and products previously provided by Dennis Uniform, at an affordable price point. We are confident that this partnership will give our families more flexibility and choice while maintaining the high standards of quality and consistency you expect.
To make the transition as smooth as possible, we have provided direct links below to our Educational Outfitters PCK store, as well as a style guide that highlights the price points for each uniform item. This will assist in making informed decisions when purchasing uniforms for your student.
We are thrilled to share that after an extended replacement process with the manufacturer, our new slides opened late last month for students to enjoy. The joy these slides have brought to our students has been truly rewarding, and we are excited to see them in action.
We would also like to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to the generous donors who made this possible: the Erhuy and Santana-Roman families. These are families who give with the only hope that their donations will create joy and provide a better experience for all students at PCK. Their unwavering support reflects the true spirit of giving—an essential value that strengthens our entire community.
We are deeply grateful for their contribution, which not only enhances our school but also helps foster a positive, enriching environment where all our students can thrive.
We are pleased to host a special presentation by Johnny's Ambassadors on Thursday, November 21, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Commons.
Johnny's Ambassadors is a Castle Rock-based organization dedicated to educating communities about the harmful effects of THC on young people. Their efforts have received national recognition for highlighting the risks adolescents face when exposed to THC.
This event is specifically for parents of students in grades 5-8. We also encourage students in grades 6-8 to attend with their parents, as the presentation will provide valuable information for families. Please note that students younger than sixth grade are not permitted to attend.
If you plan to attend or would like more information on Johnny's Ambassadors and their mission, please click the buttons below.
Our Veterans Day Breakfast is right around the corner on Monday, November 11, at 8:00 a.m., followed by our Veterans Day Assembly. This event is an important way for us to honor and thank the brave men and women who have served our country, and we encourage all families with veterans to attend.
Today is the final day for our PCK families with Veterans to RSVP for the breakfast. We want to ensure we have enough space and food for everyone who would like to participate, so please RSVP if you plan to attend.
At PCK, we believe it’s essential to teach our children the value of gratitude and respect for those who have sacrificed for our freedom. Veterans Day provides us with a meaningful opportunity to come together as a community and show our appreciation for the service and sacrifices of our veterans. We hope you can join us in this important tradition.
As we are now in the full swing of the winter season, we want to ensure that our families are aware of our procedures in the event of inclement weather. Please take a moment to review the following information regarding school delays and cancellations.
In the event of a delay or cancellation, all families will receive a notification prior to 6:00 a.m. informing them of any changes to the school schedule. Notifications will be sent via email and text message.
90-Minute Delay: When weather delays occur, the school day will begin with a 90-minute delay.
Carpool and Drop-off: The carpool line will open at 9:00 a.m., and classes will begin at 9:30 a.m. All carpool procedures will remain the same, with the exception of the delay for morning drop-off.
End of Day: The school day will end at the usual time of 3:10 p.m.
If school is canceled for the day, there will be no classes. All after-school practices, games, and events on campus will be canceled.
To ensure timely receipt of weather-related notifications, please make sure your contact information is up to date in Infinite Campus. Before making any plans for the day, we encourage you to check your email, text messages, or phone for the latest updates.
Please be aware that students are allowed to wear boots to school at the start of the day. However, they must change into dress code-approved footwear for the remainder of the school day. Students will have the option to change back into boots if outdoor recess is scheduled or at the conclusion of the school day.
As we step into the month of November, we are excited to share with you our character trait focus for the month: Gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful quality that can transform not only individual lives but also entire communities. This month, we will be encouraging our students to embrace gratitude by reflecting on what they are thankful for and expressing their appreciation in meaningful ways.
When we encourage students to practice gratitude, we are helping them develop the foundation for becoming compassionate, understanding, and empathetic leaders. Gratitude teaches us to recognize the good in our lives, foster positive relationships, and cultivate an environment of kindness and mutual respect. As students develop this trait, they learn to appreciate the efforts of others, embrace the value of teamwork, and understand the importance of giving back to the community.
To make gratitude a daily practice, we are introducing the following I Will Statements for students to practice. These are positive, action-oriented affirmations that help them take ownership of their gratitude practices.
This is a friendly reminder that our Athletic Department will be holding basketball tryouts for both the boys and girls teams next week, from November 11-14. The tryouts will take place immediately after school from 3:05-4:35 p.m. and are open to students in grades 6-8.
If your student plans to attend the tryouts, please remind them to bring the following:
A reusable water bottle
Basketball shoes
A change of clothes
After an undefeated season, our volleyball team faced their biggest challenge yet during the end-of-year celebration—playing against you, their parents. In a fun and spirited game, the parents claimed the only victory of the season, making for a memorable conclusion to a great year. Congratulations to the parents for their win, and a huge thank you to everyone for your incredible support throughout the season. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of families to be part of our volleyball community.
Ticket sales for our Theatre Department's production of Disney's Aladdin Jr. are still open!
The show will take place on November 23, with two showings: one at 11:30 a.m. and another at 2:30 p.m. We truly encourage you to come out and support our talented students who have worked tirelessly to bring this magical story to life.
Our Health Room is in need of donations for children's tops and bottoms, with a particular emphasis on bottoms. We are currently seeking sizes 4-10 for both.
Your generous contributions will significantly assist students who require a temporary change of clothes during the school day. If you plan to make a donation, please feel free to drop it off at the Front Office and designate it as a donation for the Health Room.
Square 1 Art is offering a wonderful opportunity for families to celebrate and preserve their child's artistic achievements. All families of K-6 students have received (or will soon receive) order forms featuring their child's artwork, which can be purchased on a variety of items like mugs, magnets, t-shirts, and more.
This is a great way to not only cherish your child’s creativity but also share their artwork with loved ones. Square 1 Art makes it easy to view your child’s creations online. Simply click the button below to access the Square 1 Art Search, where you can view and order items with your child’s artwork. All you need to do is enter your student’s state, school, and name to find their unique designs.
If you have any questions or need assistance with the program, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Visual Arts Teacher, Kate Dulaney, at kdulaney@ckcs.net.

We want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on three incredible volunteers who went above and beyond to ensure our Trunk-or-Treat event was a success: Josh Harper, Richard Downing, and Virgil Mathias. These dedicated Safety Dads volunteered their time and energy to help out during the event, providing crucial support to our staff and creating a safe, fun environment for all.
On days when we host large events, having volunteers like Josh, Richard, and Virgil around the building makes it possible for us to facilitate everything smoothly while also capturing the moments that make these events so special. Their commitment and enthusiasm made all the difference, and we are so grateful for their hard work and dedication.
Thank you, Safety Dads, for being such an important part of our team and helping make Trunk-or-Treat a memorable experience for everyone.
