A Message From Mrs. Turner...

We have had a GREAT start to our school year!!! Our teachers and students are starting beginning of year assessments. These assessments will guide our instruction and interventions this year. Students will be assessed individually by their teacher on MClass for reading and whole group on their iPad or Chromebook on MAP Assessment for Math. These assessments are given at the beginning of the year, middle of the year and end of the year. We look forward to all of the growth that all of our students will make this year!!

I have added a lot of information in the newsletter below. Please take a minute to read over each item so you are up to date on what is happening at SHP!

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up

PARENTS:

PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD SO WE CAN UNLOAD AND LOAD SEVERAL CARS AT A TIME.

DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR AT DROP OFF OR PICKUP. THIS SLOWS DOWN OUR LINE.

WORK WITH YOUR CHILD ON GETTING IN AND OUT OF THE CAR BY THEMSELVES.

ALSO, FOR YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY, PLEASE LET THEM OUT ON THE SIDE OF THE CAR BY THE DOOR THEY ARE GOING IN. WALKING AROUND THE CAR IS A SAFETY CONCERN.

IF YOU NEED TO BUCKLE THEM UP AT PICK UP, PLEASE PULL FORWARD AND OVER TO THE SIDE PARKING SPACES.

ALL OF THESE THINGS HELP KEEP OUR LINES FLOWING SMOOTHLY.

7:30-Doors open and buses drop off

Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school.
First grade and second grade will be dropped off and picked up in the front of the school.
If you have multiple children at SHP, you will drop off and pick up in the front of the school.

8:00-School begins/Tardy Bell

After 8:00 an ADULT MUST walk the child in to the front office.

3:10-Pick up begins

- Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school.
- First grade and second grade will be dropped off and picked up in the front of the school.
- If you have multiple children at SHP, you will drop off and pick up in the front of the school.

All visitors must check in at the office! ID Required!!!!

SH Football Schedule 2024

Here are a few important reminders for ALL home football games this season:

ATTENTION! All tickets for our sporting events will be online only! This includes season football tickets, general admission tickets, volleyball and All-Sport Passes. Please visit our new website to purchase or scan the QR code at any game gate. Remember - no cash accepted! www.shpanthers.com

ALL students will be required to sit in the stands with their parents.
Students will not be allowed to run around, throw footballs, or congregate.
The only time a student can be out of the stands is for the restroom or purchasing something from the concession stand.
There will be administrators on duty as well as helpers in the stands to monitor.
We appreciate all of your help in keeping your child safe with you in the stands to watch the game.

SHP Lunch Guests Start September 9!

SHP Guidelines for Cafeteria Visitors

We are pleased to have you visit our school and enjoy lunch with your child, Monday through Thursday. We will not have lunch visitors on Fridays due to a different lunch schedule.

In order to maintain safety and security, please follow the guidelines listed below:

Check in and out at the front office (I.D. Required)
Please sit at the assigned parent table. No parents at class tables.
You may eat with your child only. You may not invite other students to join you and your child.
Follow all established cafeteria rules.
Your child will dismiss with his/her class.
Younger siblings must stay seated at the table with you. Please do not allow them to run around.
Do not follow your child to class or to the playground.
Parents must go directly to the front office to check out and exit the building.
