March 2025 Newsletter
- Spring is right around the corner; yeah!. Please take a scroll down to read very important information that you need to know for the month of March. Our gym seems to be on track with the floor replacement; however we will be closed for the March 14th non-school day for school aged children. We will have care for Preschool and Kindergarten students on this day at regular times.
- Please take note of the sign-ups for upcoming April dates for Non-School days and the Easter holiday. A big thank you to those parents who completed the "2024 End of the Year" survey. We appreciate the feedback so we can continue to meet the needs of the children and our families; and continue to provide high quality care.
- We look forward to spending time with your children this summer and to watch the children continue to grow into a brand new school year in the fall. We are truly blessed to be able to serve the families of Elizabethtown.
Summer Contracts will be distributed to our internal families first in early March. Upon receiving the contract, please complete entire packet and submit the registration fee to your child's teacher or Site Director. Registration fees can be paid by check, payable to GEARS Kids Center.
- The first week of April we will distribute our 25-26 School Year contracts. Once again, complete the contract and information packet as soon as possible so we can assure your registration for the Fall. Note: We will be offering half price registration fees for the 25-26 contracts only. Registration for one child is $30.00, second child in the family $17.50. Registration fees can be paid by check, payable to GEARS Kids Center. Our staff will make sure the completed contracts reach Wendy or Kelly to process in the office.
Thank you, Wendy Musser, GEARS Kids Center Director

Dear Kids Center Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. As the 2024-2025 school year winds down and preparations begin for our summer camp program, we want to advise you of pending tuition changes. As a valued customer of GEARS, we make every effort to provide you with affordable and high-quality childcare services. As you may know, childcare providers were hit particularly hard during the pandemic and continue to be impacted by its residual effects including labor market shortages and increased competition for high-quality and experienced teachers along with higher transportation costs due to increased fuel charges. Although these are two of the more significant expenses we are challenged with covering, the cost for everything that we use from food to craft supplies has increased as well. This has led GEARS to consider its options so it can continue to provide you and your child with the same level of high-quality childcare services that you rely on. After much review and consideration, GEARS has made the difficult decision to increase tuition by $10 across all programs and fee-based services to continue to operate at the level you have come to expect. When many childcare providers have closed permanently or close intermittently due to staff shortages, GEARS has remained open with no disruptions during what many are calling a “Child Care Crisis.” We appreciate the trust you have in GEARS to serve your child in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. These changes will take effect starting with our 2025 Summer Camp Program and 2025-2026 school year. We thank you in advance for your understanding as we navigate these difficult times.
