Principal's Message
Hello Alder Families,
We continue to SOAR and create educational memories that will last a lifetime. Now that we have built relationships and procedures and routines are well established, let the fun of learning begin. Our teachers are continually working to create engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically, solve problems, and collaborate with each other. We encourage you to talk with your child about what they are learning in class and to ask them about new ideas or challenges they’re excited about. These conversations at home help reinforce the importance of curiosity and education.
October is Bullying Prevention Month, and we are focusing on Respect as part of our Stand Tall, Fly High – Say No to Bullying campaign. Through classroom discussions, school-wide activities, and daily interactions, we are encouraging students to practice respect in every aspect of their lives.
This week we started our Wingmen Wednesdays, our students joined students during the lunch periods while playing games and chatted with new faces. The mission of the Wingmen is to nurture empathy, empower, encourage and inspire hope in others. Instilling the belief that everybody matters.
Our extracurricular programs are in full swing, and we are thrilled to see so many students taking part in clubs, sports, and other activities. These opportunities allow students to explore their interests, build leadership skills, and make new friends. Whether your child is interested in science, art, music, or athletics, we have a wide range of options to suit their passions.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Ms. Cunningham
