Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
It’s time for Loveland City School District to recognize “Grandparents and Great Influences” in our community. During December, events will be held to allow students across the district to spend time at school with grandparents, older community members, and others who play a significant role in their lives. It’s an opportunity for families to think about the extended circle of people who build into their children and for the school district to take a moment to celebrate those great influences.
Our #beLOVEland spirit is about recognizing that relationships are what make our community and our school district special. Loveland City School District launched “Grandparents and Great Influences” in 2023 to celebrate those relationships. In the first year, more than 3,200 people were welcomed into our buildings across the district. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, coaches, and older siblings have all been invited in by our students so they could show their appreciation.
Look for communication from your child’s building about specific dates and times for the celebrations in each school.
If you have questions, you can always reach me at mikebroadwater@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Pass-It-On Food Drive 2024
Loveland City School District is supporting LIFE Food Pantry with the Pass-It-On Food Drive! This district-wide food drive has been helping families in need for 23 years.
Food donated during Pass-It-On will help LIFE Food Pantry create Thanksgiving and holiday food baskets for 300 families registered through the LIFE Pantry. This program is one of the largest initiatives for the pantry and could not be done without the generosity of our Tiger families.
The food drive runs Monday, November 4, through Thursday, November 21, culminating in a well-orchestrated delivery event on Thursday morning. LIS and LMS students will walk their food items to Prince of Peace Church. For all other buildings, volunteers will ensure the donations are delivered where they need to be. Student volunteers help assemble and distribute the baskets in time for the holidays.
Look for more information from your student’s teacher or building principal about what items are needed for each class. Thank you to the Loveland staff, student volunteers, parent-teacher organizations, local churches, and LIFE Food Pantry volunteers who team up to make this special event a success!
Message from the Health Team
Hello Tiger Families,
Cold and flu season is upon us! We have seen an increase in illnesses in our school clinics.
We understand that deciding when and for how long to keep your child from school can be difficult. We have created the following guidelines that families can follow when making this decision: Guidelines for Keeping Students Home from School.
We are encouraging students to practice good hand washing while at school and have made hand sanitizer available to students to use throughout our buildings. If you are ever in any doubt about whether your child should come to school please contact one of our district nurses or your child’s physician.

Elf, The Musical - at Loveland High School
Christmas spirit starts early in Loveland with a production of Elf the Musical at Loveland High
School November 13-16. This show is a great start to the family holidays and will have you
pulling out your decorations extra early.
A baby who crawled into Santa’s sack and grew up at the North Pole with the elves finds out he
actually is human. When he sets off to find his family in New York City, Buddy’s adventures
show him the good and the bad of living in the big city.
Will people believe he really knows “the big guy”? Can he raise enough Christmas spirit to get
Santa’s sleigh to fly and save his dad’s publishing company from ruin?
Over 70 students are involved in this production - the backstage crew, the actors singing and
dancing on stage, and the orchestra playing the stick-in-your-head sparklejollytwinklejingley tunes.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and senior citizens. Order yours here:
