A Special Veteran Visited Georgetown
One of our third-grade students at Georgetown Elementary invited their grandfather, Corporal Karl Knittel of the United States Marine Corps, to visit their classroom today. Corporal Knittel taught about Veterans Day, The Pledge of Allegiance, and how/why the flag is folded in a particular way to honor veterans at their funerals. Each student got a certificate acknowledging they could recite the pledge and was given a mini American Flag and a cupcake. #fireupgoeagles #UnitedStatesMarines Georgetown Elementary PTC
