Message from Gabrielle Devlin, WA Principal
Thank you for the warm welcome to the Washington community! I am so excited to serve as the principal here. I will work to ensure that your students are safe here at school, continue to grow, and I hope we all have some FUN together at Washington!
While I have taught or supported every grade from kindergarten through college, on three different continents, one thing that never changes is how much I end up learning from my students and their families. So thank you in advance for sharing your precious little ones with us at Washington.
Nearby Grayslake is where I call home. I live there with my husband, our two children, and our labradoodle. In my free time I enjoy yoga, jigsaw puzzles, earl grey tea, and finding the best tacos in Lake County, any recommendations?!
Please feel free to stop by to introduce yourself, or drop me an email at gdevlin@d75.org. I look forward to hearing from you.
Dr. Gabrielle Devlin
Greetings from Glenda Juarez, WA Assistant Principal
I am excited to join the Washington Community! I am a lifelong Mundelein resident and am thrilled to serve our families and students. I have been an educator for the past 18 years. As a dual language teacher, I taught in various grade levels and bilingual settings. Over the past five years, I was a 4th grade dual language teacher at Mechanics Grove School. I have also served as the summer school coordinator for our District 75 Summer School program the past three years. Mundelein is not only my hometown, but also the community that has motivated me to continue growing as an educator and leader.
Presently, I continue residing in Mundelein and was a D75 parent throughout my son's educational journey. He and I are both Mundelein High School Alumni and he will soon begin his second year at Illinois State University. My family roots are from El Salvador and my rich, Latino culture plays a big role in shaping who I am today. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places and salsa dancing. I find joy in maintaining my well being through fitness, music and dance! It may not be surprising to find me at local restaurants or community events. Feel free to say hi if you do! I look forward to collaborating with all of our Washington families this upcoming school year!
