Summer Professional Development
Some thoughts for the starting school year
SUMMER READING SUGGESTIONS
In this book, Morgane Michael introduces Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies tailored for adults, offering essential tools and tactics to re-energize. Through the 5 Rs Framework, Michael delves into how educators can reflect, reframe, refocus, reconnect, and reveal in their teaching approach to enhance resilience and reignite their love for teaching.
The book suggests practical ideas like jotting down three positive aspects in your classroom daily, setting goals, creating vision boards, participating in positive text challenges, and engaging in the five photos a day challenge to seamlessly incorporate positivity into your routine. Rather than ignoring the challenges and frustrations of teaching, this book presents realistic solutions. For quick actionable steps, check out the Main Idea Summary for immediate changes you can implement today. Click here to learn more.
