Greetings African American Families, AAPAC Members, and Valued Partners,

You may have heard that SFUSD is currently facing a $125M deficit for the next fiscal year that may directly impact staffing and services that are being provided to our students. The state has directed SFUSD to submit a budget-balancing plan by December 15th. On November 30th there will be a Community Town Hall where district leaders will address the deficit, and respond to questions and/or concerns that you all may have.

AAPAC is hosting a watch party and would appreciate your participation. Together, we will gather questions, concerns, and ideas specific to Black students and families and share them directly with district decision-makers. The Town Hall begins at 7pm however, we are also asking you to join us 30 minutes prior via Zoom for a Black Family Check-In.

In advance of the meeting, please submit your questions or concerns regarding the budget using the district's survey form, or if you feel more comfortable email them to aapac@sfusd.edu. We will gather and submit all input collectively from AAPAC.
