Below are the students recognized this week by staff for demonstrating positive character. Great job students, we are proud of you!
Curriculum Corner
Our Pre-Algebra teachers did a fun activity with their students this week. They used Cheez-Its to prove Pythagorean Theorem. Below are some pictures of the activity, as well as some info about the Pythagorean Theroem, which many of you likely learned, and some may even recall.
In the first diagram below, see if you can find the value of c, which is called the hypotenuse.

Literacy Week
We wrapped up Literacy Week on Friday,. The calendar of activites was provided in previous newsletters. This week we wanted to share pictures from the first Literacy Pep Rally that took place at Pedro Menendez High School Wednesday morning. The ILC (Instructional Literacy Coach) at PMHS, Mrs. Lindsey, spearheaded the event, with support from many of course. Our ILC, Mrs. Romano, organized a group of 60 or so Stingrays to join in the fun. There were assorted games and spirit that created an exciting environment surrounding such an important topic, LITERACY. Below are some pictures from what may become an annual event. Great job everyone!

The Superintendent Search Public Survey, conducted by the Florida School Boards Association in collaboration with the St. Johns County School Board, is an essential part of this process. Your responses will help shape the application process and develop interview questions for candidates.
