I would like to thank Mr. Rapp for inviting me to his science classroom to capture his students participating in labs and hands-on learning activities. The students were so engaged, and they were also having fun! Make sure to check out the video below featuring Mr. Rapp's period 4 class.

Our students have access to all of the databases listed below. Each database has special features. ProQuest and Ebsco are both comprised of various databases which provide specific focus on a variety of subjects. World Book provides access to resources in Spanish. If you are planning a project with your students, make use of these resources. I am happy to show you, or your classes how to navigate these databases. Learning how to use databases (rather than relying on Google searches) is a great skill to teach our students as we prepare them for high school.

Our students have access to an e-book collection through Follett Shelf. Most of the non-fiction titles are multi-user, so there is no limit to how many students can access a book at the same time. If your department would like to provide students with multi-user e-books for a specific project, or to supplement your curriculum, please contact me so I can build the collection based on what you need. Follett Shelf can be accessed through a browser, or through the app.

May 6, 2016 - Cut-off Date for Semester 2 Prizes

May 12, 2016 - Class Pizza Party for the English classes with the most activities completed at 75% or above.

May 17, 2016 - Subway lunch party for students with 80 activities completed at 75% or above.

May 18, 2016 - Semester 2 Raffle for students who have completed 40 Achieve activities at 75% or above in all classes. (Prizes include Barnes and Noble gift cards and Paperwhite Kindles.)

Below are important collection dates for the library. Please let your students know that beginning Monday, May 23, the library textbook room doors will be open at 7:15 for students to return materials/clear library fines.

May 20 - Last day students can use the library for research/study.

May 23-24 - 8th Graders will return all textbooks through English classes.

May 25-26 - 8th Graders will return iPads through math classes.

May 31 - June 2 - 7th Graders will return all textbooks through English classes.

June 3 - 7th graders will return iPads through math classes.
