A Message from the PVA: Thanks to everyone who made it to our Parent Volunteer Tea on Tuesday, June 11. It was a wonderful (but unseasonably chilly) chance to connect, celebrate the year and say thank you to our PVA Co-Chair, Joyce McCauley, whose son, Benicio, graduates this year. For those of you looking to help out in the 2024-2025 academic year, please take a look at the Parent Volunteer Signup form. Many thanks, and we'll see you in August!
McGill University Research Project revisited: Researchers have developed a study assessing the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for adolescents with ADHD and are still recruiting 13-17 year old participants with diagnosed or suspected ADHD. Notice from CLSC: Please read this letter from the CLSC regarding services offered during the summer.
Duke of Ed Registration Reminder: All Grade 8 students had a presentation about the Duke of Edinburgh Award earlier this month. If you want to use summer activities to complete Duke of Ed hours, make sure you sign up for the award program before the summer. You must be 14 years old to register. Echoes of a Proud Nation Pow Wow in Kahnawake - July 13-14: Families and staff are encouraged to attend this summer’s Pow Wow in Kahnawake (please note that the website has the wrong year indicated but the dates of July 13-14 are correct). As part of our commitment to learn more about Indigenous history and culture, this is a great opportunity to experience a festive event that is open to all! The Grand Entry (dancing and singing) begins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. on Sunday, however, you can expect a long line of cars at the gate if you wait to come later in the day. We suggest arriving around 9:30-10:00 a.m. to avoid the crowds!
