Last week, Mrs. Pick and a group of parents met with the installer for Burke Playground. Thanks to Quinn & Paul Kulik, Theresa Lehn, Colin & Chris Lyons, Joe Kramer, and Don Jensen for being a part of the informal playground committee. Together we mapped out the space on the back blacktop, discussed drainage options, and put together next steps. Just like everything in construction, our playground is moving as quickly as it can and we are confident our structure will be installed by April. Just in time for Spring weather! Thank you all for your patience and donations to make this dream come true for our school.

Many of you have asked for updates on the Human Sexuality policy that is coming from the Archdiocese. Last week, Mrs. Pick had an administrative meeting at the Catholic Schools Office and we were given the opportunity to read the rewritten policy. This version is supposed to be supplied to all principals at some point in December so we can share with our communities. Family Handbook implementation for all schools has been set for August 2023. Due to instruction from the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Mrs. Pick is unable to share the details of the policy at this time.

Our Journey of Faith Family (St. Margaret Mary + St. Cecilia Cathedral) has been busy since early summer discussing the next steps in this process. What it looks like for our parishes, communities, etc. have all been a part of this conversation. Attached below is a letter from Archbishop Lucas that provides some details around the timeline and what is excepted from each parish family.

We are encouraged to pray a Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, beginning on December 3, for the intentions of the Archdiocese of Omaha. I have attached the Novena below.
