The mission of McMillan Middle is to academically challenge students and to promote student ownership of learning in a safe, diverse, and respectful environment.
Principal Message
Greetings McMillan Families,
Summer. It's here, and we're so excited for the learning opportunities, our ability to recharge and refresh, and coming together as a community once again for August, 2024. If you are anything like me for some of your children or grand-children, you might be looking at June and July and thinking "now what?"
The information attached is only a partial list, but in addition to spending time with your children, encouraging reading and spending time with family, I want to provide the information attached as potential ideas for you.
Please read the newsletter carefully to get all the updates about not only summer events but preparation for the 24-25 school year. As always, we thank you for your continued support and involvement in the McMillan Community. If you have any questions, please call us 531-299-2440.
Very Respectfully,
Dr. Walters - Proud Principal at McMillan

Please Welcome our New 6th Grade Dean - Mrs. Pfeiffer!
My name is Jordan Pfeiffer, and I am a proud product of the Omaha Public Schools system, having graduated from Burke High School. I began my secondary education journey at the University of Nebraska Kearney, where I played college soccer, and later earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha. I continued my academic pursuits, obtaining a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nebraska Kearney, where I am also set to complete my second master's degree in administration this fall. After college, I joined Boys Town, where I held various roles in the Day School program, Intervention and Assessment, before transitioning to the on-campus Physical Education and Health teacher. Additionally, I coached multiple sports, including girls' cross country, basketball, and soccer. Most recently, I taught Physical Education and coached at Omaha North High School. I believe in fostering positive relationships while holding students accountable, and I am thrilled to join McMillan, remaining within the North Omaha community, and am dedicated to supporting students mentally, emotionally, physically, and academically.
