Principal's Communication
JHS Parents and Guardians,
Starting on Monday, JHS teachers will implement the JHS Testing Procedure for all assessments. Each time there is an assessment, the following information will be displayed on the smart panel:
- No talking. Talking during an assessment will be considered cheating.
- Only your teacher can answer questions during an assessment. No exceptions.
- No electronic devices are allowed on your person.
- This includes earbuds, phones, smartwatches, tablets, etc.
- Backpacks must be closed and secured—away from desks when possible.
- If a Chromebook or other device is used to complete an assessment, close and put the device away upon submission of the assessment.
Failure to follow the above procedures will be considered cheating. You will receive a zero on the assessment, a discipline referral, and it will affect your exemptions.
This procedure mirrors state and national testing standards as well as testing procedures at other high schools. We believe it will result in a more secure testing environment. If you need clarification, please reach out to your student’s grade-level assistant principal.

Please be sure to complete your purchase by 9:00 PM this Friday at yearbookforever.com. As a reminder, we do not order extra copies of the yearbook due to the high cost of unsold inventory. This extension is your final opportunity to reserve a copy.

It is important to understand the process of time management and the optimal ways to study to increase productivity as well as test scores. Throughout the seminar, students will learn a new way to look at things to help them throughout their years in high school and college.
Developing this skill set early on can give students a significant advantage over their peers who do not manage their time and studies properly. In class, students will learn about the following: Goal Setting, Note Taking, Study Habits, Memorization, Test-Taking Strategies, Essay Writing, Scheduling, Reading Speed.
The cost for the seminar is only $99 and each seminar includes a Study Guide students can bring home after the class. Enrollment may be limited, so please register as soon as possible at www.prepforthefuture.com to ensure your student does not miss out on this opportunity.
