2024-25 Instructional FOCI:
Important Instructional Reminders
Be sure to incorporate the strategies: Writing- CUBS; Reading- C.E.R/3-Reads Protocol; Academic Discourse- Think-ink-Pair-Share/Partner Talk (A/B); GIVE one-GET one
1. It is imperative that each classroom teacher is using the district provided text and curriculum map/nit plan. After visiting classrooms, I do not see the text being used and/or see standards being addressed that are NOT at grade level. Use the resources below to plan lessons that are grade-level. Use differentiated instruction to assist students use resources to access the grade-level material.
For students who need foundational support, please email the counselor for support.
2. Be sure to have your white board configurations daily (Date, Subject, Standard/Objective/Learning Target. Activity/Agenda)
3. Student work should be posted (its week 6)- be sure to include the Objective, Rubric, Actionable feedback)
4. Mindful Mondays should be implemented campus-wide EVERY Monday during HOMEROOM/BIC
6. I-ready should be done on Targeted Tuesdays! -ELA/HIST (Reading); Math/SCI (Math)- students should be completing 3 lessons at 75% pass rate and spend at least 50 minutes in each subject area each week.
5. All staff must use the provided Hall pass when allowing students out of class (referrals for Nurse only). A September pass (blue)was provided. No other passes will be deemed valid. Please COMPLETE it and SIGN before allowing a student out.
