August 26, 2024
👨💼 From the Principal
Pirate Families,
After a great first week with students, we are entering our first FULL week of classes. It has been great to see the new faces entering PCHS for the first time and welcoming back our Pirates. It has been a great start to the 2024-25 school year, and we are looking forward to what the rest of the year will look like.
This week, we open our doors to our parents and guardians to come walk in the shoes of your student. Please join us on August 28 from 6-8 pm to meet the administrators and Counseling Department. From 6:40-7:55 pm, you will walk the schedule of your student to meet their teachers.
Please take a look at all of the great things that have been and will continue to happen at PCHS!
Thank you,

🏫 Professional Learning Days (PLD)
On Monday, September 16, school will not be in session for our first Professional Learning Days (PLD) of the 2024-25 school year.
Professional Learning Days are designed to establish sustained and uninterrupted time for teachers to work together and collaborate to improve student learning and achievement. This time allows educators to examine and respond to the four basic fundamental questions of a Professional Learning Community:
- What is it we want students to learn?
- How will we know when each student has achieved the learning?
- How will we respond when a student is not learning?
- How will we respond when we know a child has mastered the learning?
For more information on PCR-3's Professional Learning Community, visit the PLC page on the District's website.

👍🏼 Good To Know!
- High School doors are open from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. School begins at 7:30 am.
- No outside food or drink delivered or dropped off for the students. (see the handbook)
- Student Check-In and Out is only through the main doors - at the Welcome Center. This is for students tardy to school, or checking in/out for appointments, etc.
- Please CALL AHEAD if your student needs to be dismissed. This gives us time to prepare a pass so the teacher knows they need to leave class and check out at the welcome center. It takes a longer time to reach classes that are outside (Band, PE, etc)
The final page of each handbook is the signature receipt page. Please use this or your building's electronic way of acknowledging the handbook and code of conduct.
