Oak Grove Wrestlers & State!

Congratulations to our 8th graders Anand V., Dylan T., and Michael S. for their effort and representation of Oak Grove this weekend at NIU for the IESA State Finals. Go Eagles!

Future Quest

Oak Grove is excited to partner with Lake County Tech Campus for this year’s Future Quest middle school career exploration on Thursday, April 10, 2025! This is an opportunity for 7th and 8th graders to experience career opportunities. The cost for the event is $20. Travel to and from the Tech Campus and dinner is provided. If your child is interested in attending, please register by March 30th by clicking this link.

Illinois Assessment of Readiness - 3rd-8th Graders

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), a state mandated assessment, will take place on Tuesday 4/8, Wednesday 4/9, and Thursday 4/10. If scheduling appointments for your child(ren), please try to work around these dates. Specific testing schedules will be shared by the grade level teachers as we approach testing. All students must have working headphones for the ELA sections.

Class Placement: Family Input

We will soon begin to build classes for the 2025-2026 school year. This is one of our most important tasks to prepare for the coming year. We welcome family involvement in this process, as we recognize that you know your children better than anyone else. If you would like to offer insight, share your perspective, or express a need on behalf of your child, we invite you to complete THIS form prior to March 21st.

Oak Grove Summer Camps

Please see this document with descriptions of all the Summer Camps that will be offered to students this summer. Registration began this morning through the Oak Grove Web Store (Revtrak) and will be open through April 11th. Here is a video with more detailed registration instructions if interested. Purple Up Day Flyer

Purple Up Day 2025 - April 15th

We want to recognize our military families for the safety that they provide us on a daily basis as well as recognizing that the life of a military kid is a blend of unique adventures and challenges. Oak Grove is looking to celebrate our Military families with our second annual Purple Up Day breakfast on April 15th. If you’re a Military family, please complete THIS form by March 21st. Kindergarden Info Night

Kindergarten Pre-Registration and Information Night

If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1st, 2025 and is planning to attend kindergarten in the fall, pre-registration is open. Please begin this process by clicking HERE.

Kindergarten Information Night is on March 13th from 5:00-6:00 PM in the Jr. High Cafeteria. This is an opportunity to learn more about kindergarten and meet the teachers. Please note that no childcare will be provided for this event but we will be offering a live stream option to view at home. Please pass on this information to anyone else you know who has a child turning 5 on or before September 1st.

Noetic Math Contest

Attention all 5th - 8th graders. Oak Grove School is hosting the Noetic Math Contest in early April. It is open to all 5th- 8th graders and is free. The contest will be taken during the school day on laptops and information can be found at:

  • For our final partnership fundraising event of the year, we are partnering with Blu Violet boutique in Downtown Libertyville. Shop all day (11am - 7pm) Thursday, March 13 and 10% of sales will be donated back to the Oak Grove PTO.

  • This year's Variety Show will be on Friday, May 9. PTO volunteers will be in the Junior High Cafeteria this week to answer questions about participating in the Variety Show. Audition sign-ups will be on March 18, 19 and April 2. We can't wait to see what our Oak Grove students have to share this year!
