EHS Community Day: Thursday, May 15th
We are looking forward to our third annual EHS Community Day on Thursday, May 15. We will be altering our school schedule on this day to do the following things:
- Welcome our incoming Freshmen class
- Host an activity fair and provide insights and advice from our current students for these 8th graders
- Show the Senior Awards Video during 5th period for all current students(afterwards it will be linked on our web site).
- Play the Amazing Race in the afternoon - hopefully outdoors on our turf fields and track area.
This day is a great opportunity for all of our staff and students to come together and celebrate an amazing year at EHS.
The afternoon portion of the day will be spent on the Amazing Race. Students will be going to their PAWS classes for 10 minutes after lunches and then go to the Amazing Race. We are very intentional about doing the race during the day to give our learners who ride the bus to school or may have to work in the evening a chance to participate. Our goal is to have over 100 teams participate in this event.
5th Annual Amazing Race
On Thursday, May 15th, we will be having our 5th annual Amazing Race from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Students can create a team of up to six members and work together to complete a bunch of fun and challenging games that will test them both mentally and physically. Admission is free, and it takes place during the school day, so there's no reason to not participate. Registration forms can be found and returned to the counseling office. Forms are due Wednesday, May 14th. For more information, see Mrs. Catchpool, Mrs. Downing, Mrs. Haus, Mr. Pritzl, or Mr. Snobeck.

Clay Target Team Achievments
There is a lot to celebrate this week on the Eagan Clay Target Team!
Here is some context as to how the scoring works. Each competition score consists of two 25 shot/point rounds for a total of 50 points per athlete per week. The first 25 round is shot, a quick break, and then the second round of 25 is shot.
A perfect 25 round is difficult and is cause for celebration. A perfect 50 (back-to-back rounds) is far more rare and extremely difficult.
While shooting in the rain:
- Alex Newton shot a perfect 25 round!
- Emma Cook (captain) shot a perfect 25 round! Her second for the season!
- Finn Larson shot a perfect DAY with all 50 targets hit in succession!!
Congrats!
