BASHAW SCHOOL UPDATE

GREETINGS FROM THE BASHAW SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS
A Message from Mr. Dimond ( Principal)
Hello Rebel Families,
This time of year is a busy time for all. We’re seeing the combines running and harvest in full swing, here at the school we are busy as well. With a boost in enrollment, we have had to make some changes but we have not let that get in our way of delivering a high quality education to our students.
Our students are back and have engaged with their school in such an admirable way. Talking with our kids after their first week saw a great deal of them happy with being back in routine. Getting to be back and seeing friends is always one of the major draws but we have seen a real component of engagement that we are pleased with.
Our athletics has already been going strong within the first week of school. Our Senior teams have already got their first weekend of tournament play in as they went to Camrose and really came together as strong teams. Our golf teams are doing playdowns and our Cross country teams have been training hard. With all of these athletics going on, it is great to see the commitment from so many athletes to be involved and to work on their balance between academics and athletics. With all of the outside school athletics happening as well at this time, it's great kudos to our students as they balance all of these things. Great skills to carry on in their futures!
It has been a busy time for all of us and the resilience shown by our school community has been very gratifying. My entrance back into this school year has been filled with a great deal of excitement around the great work of this school and the community and I have not been disappointed. Commendations to the students, staff and community for such an impressive start. Rebels really do know how to “RISE UP”!

The Division therefore aims to ensure that all students and staff understand and respect the guidelines regarding the use of cell phones and other electronic devices and social media within the school premises.
Students may not use personal mobile devices during instructional time. All personal mobile devices must be kept in silent mode or powered off during instructional time and stored in students' backpacks, bags, or locked lockers.
