🦃🍂 Thanksgiving Luncheon Tickets On Sale 🍂🦃
Thanksgiving Luncheon ticket sales for ECSE, Pre-K, Kinder, and 5th grade students continue until this Friday, November 8, 2024. Please note that there is a limit of two guests per student, and each ticket is $6.00. Tickets may be purchased in the front office (exact change or checks payable to Olmito Elementary, please). The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, November 8, 2024. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to create a safe, enjoyable experience for all families. Please refer to the attached letter for further details.
❤️ Veterans Day at OES ❤️
On Monday, November 11, 2024, we will celebrate our Veteran family members with a parade for students and a breakfast for our veterans and their family members. If your child has a veteran family member that you would like showcased and/or that will attend the parade/breakfast, please complete the Google Form by Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to RSVP. Thank you for your service to our country.

💙 Veterans Day Mini-Float Parade 💙
Help us make our Veterans Parade extra special by helping your child create a mini float to display and pull during the parade on Monday, November 11, 2024. Directions for this project are located on the flyers under the Olmito School News section below.
🤍Election Day - Mock Elections at OES 🤍
On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, students at OES will participate in mock elections. Students will be able to vote for kid-friendly topics such as favorite food or favorite weather. This will give them an idea of how the election process works.
🍂📚 Harvest of Books - A Biliteracy Celebration 📚🍂
Join us at the Leo Aguilar Stadium Lawn on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:30-8:00 PM for a night of reading, free snacks, raffles, and lots of fun. Everyone is welcome!
🍕 Pizza and Play - Fall Fundraiser Incentive (For Qualifying Students) 🍕
Students who sold 12 or more candy apples during our fall fundraiser will participate in their incentive on Friday, November 8, 2024, in the afternoon. They will receive an invitation with more details.
✅ Upcoming District Assessments (2nd-5th Grade Students) ✅
Planning ahead: Students in grades 2-5 will participate in District Assessments on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Nov. 12: Math 2nd-5th Grades
- Wednesday, Nov. 13: Reading/Language Arts 2nd-5th
- Thursday, Nov. 14: Science 3rd-5th
These assessments are diagnostic and help us determine areas of strength and growth for our students. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is on time and present for these assessments.
