Greetings, SKS!!!

Thank you for joining us for conferences this week! Your voices are vital to the learning process, and as partners in your children’s education, you help us shape your student's success. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible teachers and families for everything you do to make St. Katharine’s a joyful place of growth and learning.

As we look ahead to the Advent season, there are many opportunities to prepare our hearts and homes for Christmas. From creating an Advent wreath to joining us for evenings of reflection, there’s something for everyone to pause, pray, and focus on the hope and joy this season brings. Scroll down for a few opportunities!

As the weather begins to cool, please remind your children to dress warmly for school, including coats for recess. We love our time outdoors, so please plan accordingly! Speaking of dressing, don't forget about Monday's DDD -- this will benefit Benny's Toy Drive, thanks to the Griesser Family. See more details below.

It was wonderful to celebrate the Mass of Thanksgiving with our 8th grade students and families. Thanks to all of you who attended this first of many celebrations for our graduating class!

Finally, with Thanksgiving is right around the corner, our Kindergarteners have some expert tips for cooking the perfect turkey. Be sure to check out their recommendations below for a little culinary inspiration and a whole lot of laughter.

Mrs. Grant announced that it's time for the annual "Keep Christ in Christmas" Art poster contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. The students (K-8) have been working on their entries during Art class since the week of November 4th. The deadline for entries is Tuesday, December 10. Thank you to all the children for their enthusiasm and hard work!

Friends of the Griessers lost their two year old son, Benny, last year. In partnership with Nemours Children's Health, the family is hosting a toy drive in Benny's honor to assist other families during challenging times. Please send a dollar in to support this worthy cause!

You are invited to join an advent wreath making workshop sponsored by the Faithful Families Team on Sunday, November 24. B.Y.O. Wine and Cheese! $25 cost includes all supplies you will need to make your family's wreath. Please see the flyer here for more details!

For 32 years, SKS parishioners have helped make Christmas happier for dozens of needy families at our sister parish, St. Martin de Porres, by providing gifts and food baskets. This year we have 90 families of all sizes to adopt. Sign-ups will be electronic and will open via Flocknote, social media and sksparish.org on Saturday, Nov. 16! Please call the rectory at 610-688-4584 with questions or if you prefer to sign up over the phone. Gift drop off is on Saturday, December 7 from 10am-1pm in the SKS drop off/bus lane. Thank you for your generosity!

Treat yourself to a break from the holiday madness and a chance to focus on the reason for the season! Evening begins with Mass followed by a festive dinner catered by Paola's and a special guest speaker.
