Leadership Message
Nature, Stewardship & Ambassadorship
Our nature programming is gaining momentum!
Our Grade 4 students and our amazing parents volunteers were invited by the Beaver Hills Watershed Stewardship Society, the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance and Hastings Lake Bible Camp to join them in a planting project to restore the Hastings Lake shoreline!
The grade 4s worked so hard to carefully plant trees, shrubs and wildflowers, as well as protect them so they thrive. They learned about Alberta's history, native plant species and why they survive. They served our environment so well, and they represented St. Luke Catholic School like proud ambassadors.
Thanks for all your hard work, Grade 4s!

They're Growing Up So Fast!
A very special congratulations to our littlest St. Luke learners who led our Growing in Faith Together Assembly this past Thursday! Thank you for leading us in prayer and song! Thank you to Mrs. Schurek for your leadership and support with these precious littles!

Cheering on our Oilers!
There's a lot of Oilers pride at STL these days! From door decorating to our very own Connor McDavid (well done Grade 4s!) to Oilers gear throughout the school.
Let's go Oilers!
Thank you for choosing St. Luke Catholic School and Catholic Education!
With abundant gratitude,
Mme Gravelle

June's Seven Sacred Teaching is...
Saint of the Month for Truth: St. Patrick
During the time when St Patrick was alive, the people of Ireland didn’t know about God. They didn’t know about Jesus, how he loves us so very much, and how he lived to teach us how to love God and the people around us. When St Patrick returned to Ireland as a bishop, he wanted to show the people of Ireland the truth about Jesus.
Truth is a little different then “telling the truth”. Truth is to know The Commandments given to us by God and to live them every day.
Grade 4 Wax Museum
Monday, you are invited to our wax museum in the library!
Our Grade 4 students have been hard at researching and learning all about influential people from Canada and the United States. Each student got to choose someone who inspired them, research their life and accomplishments, and now... they're becoming them! From singers and scientists to sports stars and changemakers, our Grade 4s are ready to bring these historical figures to life.
Classes are welcome to visit the museum, stroll through the exhibits, and “press the button” to hear each wax figure share their story.
Parents are welcome to join us as well from 2:00-2:20!

Tree & Shrub Shoreline Planting with Grade 4!!
On Thursday, June 5 our grade 4 students became stewards for our earth by joining the Beaver Hills Watershed Stewardship Society and the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance to plant wildflowers, trees and shrubs on the shoreline of Hastings Lake. What a great servant leadership project! As St. Luke dives into nature programming, we are excited about opportunities to take care of the land God has given us.
Thank you to all of our parent volunteers for joining us in this project. A big thank you to BHWSS and NSWA for all their initiative and for inviting St. Luke to participate in this meaningful project! We look forward to more opportunities to partner with you! A special thank you to Apple Schools. Their grant support made it possible for us to supply our students with gloves and shovels for this project and many more future ones!
