A Note From The Principal
We've been having a blast lately, with plenty of exciting activities that have allowed us to both showcase individual progress and identify areas for further development through family conferences. Our recent BINGO night was a hit, drawing a fantastic turnout and in supporting the PTO and Chehalem. And our Read Across Chehalem Celebration was all about literacy, featuring book readings, writing sessions, and an inspiring presentation by a local author for our entire school.
As we approach the end of the school year, we'll be sure to keep everyone informed with regular communications before summer break.
In the meantime, we're fully engaged in assessing our students to gauge their current levels and ensure we can continue celebrating their growth. This time of year is so rewarding!
Best,
Melissa

We Love Our Volunteers

Beaverton Safe Routes to School Survey
It’s data collection time again for Beaverton’s Safe Routes to School program. The purpose of this program is to make walking and biking to school safe, convenient, and fun.
Parent’s and guardian’s input into how students travel to and from schools and their impression of the safety of the route is valuable as the city and county prioritize needed improvements for our roads.
The following links will take you to a district survey and will be combined with classroom tallies to give us a good picture of how students are getting to and from schools throughout the district.
The district survey will be open for responses for approximately four weeks from May 1st until May 31st. We appreciate your help in giving us information to make the Safe Routes to School program effective for all Beaverton School District students.

They will take on the role of an architect and builder to redesign a structure for their community. Learn more here. Register by June 14 to participate (Oregon residents can request a free supply box by June 7).
