Secaucus High School
Update

March 14, 2025
Dear SHS Community,
I hope this message finds you well. This week, our 11th-grade students successfully completed the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment, and we are incredibly proud of their dedication and effort each day. Their hard work and perseverance have not gone unnoticed.
Additionally, mid-marking Period 3 progress reports are now available for viewing on the Realtime Parent Portal. Please click the link below to access your child's grades. If you have any questions or require assistance, our school counseling department is happy to help.
Freshmen NJSLA
The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) for freshmen students is scheduled to take place this year from April 29th to May 2nd. Select students who would benefit from an intervention program have been identified and notified via email this week. The intervention program will begin next week directly after school for those students. If you require additional information, please contact your child's guidance counselor.
Student Snippets
The members of the Literary Clubs are excited to publish their first issue of the literary magazine for the 2024-2025 school year. The club members worked hard to put together a compilation of writing and artwork that showcases the talent of our unique student population. We hope you enjoy reading the magazine Student Snippets.

Hudson County STEM Showcase
On Monday March 3, the Hudson County STEM Showcase was held at Liberty Science Center. Over 300 students in grades 5-12 from schools all across Hudson County gathered to present their research projects and compete for medals, trophies, scholarships and cash prizes. We are proud of the following high school students who took on the challenge to represent Secaucus High School: Shreeya Inamdar, Isha Patel, Simran Bhatla, and Sarah Veloz.
Read Across America
Each year on or around March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss, schools across the country promote reading by hosting a series of events within the school community. On March 5th, members of the National English Honor Society visited Huber Street School for Read Across America Week. Junior and senior members were welcomed into kindergarten through fifth-grade classrooms while they shared their favorite childhood stories.

SHS Dress Code and Clothing Drive
All students are reminded to be in proper dress code each and every day which includes wearing the proper bottoms (khaki pants or sweatpants with the appropriate logo). Please see below for a point of reference.
The high school main office is also collecting gently used uniform items. All donations are greatly appreciated!
As always, please reach out to me with any questions.
