Lunch Visitors Reminder
Due to space and safety concerns, lunch visitors are restricted to parents/step-parents/guardians, non-school aged siblings, and grandparents (per written permission from the parent). We will not call to verify someone not listed on the emergency card or without a note. Visitors do not include aunts, uncles, neighbors, or coaches. Please also adhere to the following:
All approved visitors are asked to remain at the front until your student is called up for lunch. Students and approved visitors may eat lunch in the counseling suite or administrative conference room.
Approved visitors may not visit other areas of the school.
Approved visitors are not allowed to bring food for other children when they visit for lunch, and students cannot ask their friends to eat with their approved visitor during lunch.
Please refrain from cell phones or other technology usage while visiting for lunch. Due to privacy issues outlined in FERPA, no photos/videos with cell phones or other electronic devices are allowed.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!
Parent Engagement
Thank you, Parents and Guardians, for the AWESOME Spotlight Store Donations!
We are so thankful for all of the amazing donations to our Spotlight Store! Your contributions will truly help this be a success!
If you are still interested in donating, please feel free to drop off any donation to the Front Office marked as Spotlight donation. Any extra items will be utilized for the October Spotlight Store. The items listed are student favorites; we do ask for no products with nuts for nut allergies. Thank you!

Suicide Prevention Awareness
As we enter September, we want to highlight an important cause: Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. This is a vital time to focus on the mental well-being of our children and support efforts to prevent suicide.
Understanding and recognizing the signs of distress can make a significant difference. Encourage open conversations with your child about their feelings and remind them they are never alone. It's also important to know that our school offers resources and support for both students and families.
Together, we can create a supportive environment that promotes mental health and well-being. If you have any concerns or need resources, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Additionally, this week we will begin delivering the Signs of Suicide Lesson to all participating students.
College and Career Readiness: Architecture & Construction
This month we are highlighting the Architecture and Construction Career Cluster. Parents and guardians, if you work in one of the related fields, please email Ms. McKoy a blurb (and a picture if you want) about your job!

Book Fair Donation
Dear Parents,
This year you are able to shop the book fair before Open House on Tuesday, September 24th from 4:00-5:00 PM. During your visit, you may also purchase and donate a book to a teacher's classroom or to the Learning Commons. Teachers have completed Wish Lists, and those lists will be available at the fair. Donated books will receive a book plate like the one pictured above to commemorate the gift. Also, if you are not able to attend Open House but would still like to make a donation to your child's teacher or the Learning Commons, you may use the KidCredit link to create a donation. Please email Mrs. Doonan at jennifer.doonan@cowetaschools.net with any additional questions. Thank you!

Therefore, students must go home using their normal transportation and may return to the school at 4:30.
In addition, students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. for all athletic events.
Congratulations to our Girls Soccer Team for placing Runner-Up in the
