Weekly Newsletter
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! I hope you all have had an amazing summer break. We have been working most of the summer and we are ready for another amazing year for all of scholars here in Wildcat Country!
For those of you who are new to El Camino, we are so excited for you to be joining the Wildcat family! This is a weekly newsletter that I will send to families each Sunday evening during the school year. It will contain important information for upcoming events as well as highlights from some of our students, clubs, sports teams, staff, etc. Please be sure to check out the newsletter each weekend so you stay "in the loop".
As we prepare for registration this week and next week, we want to share information that will ensure you all are fully prepared when you come to register next week. Also, you will find additional information pertinent to the start of the school year.
2024-25 ECHS Registration Information
Registration will start in the F-building. Please park in the lower parking lot and make your way to the F-building. Signs will be out to direct you and students will be there to guide you as well.
Seniors - Friday, August 2nd, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Juniors - Monday, August 5th, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Sophomores - Tuesday, August 6th, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Freshman - Wednesday, August 7th, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
- NOTE: ASB students will lead campus tours during our Freshman registration day on Aug. 7
Makeup Registration Day - Thursday, August 9th, 3:30 - 7:00 pm for ANY student who missed their designated registration day.
Please be sure to complete your Aeries Data Confirmation PRIOR to coming for registration. Bring the confirmation print out signed by a parent with you. If you have moved, please be sure to bring two proofs of address verification. Students will also get their textbooks and ID cards.
All students will take their ID card and Yearbook picture during registration. Please ensure your student is dressed appropriately and knows that this is the picture that will be on their student ID card as well as the 2024-25 yearbook.

2024-25 Student Accident and Sickness Insurance
The safety of our students is of critical importance to all of us and we want to protect them from injury. Even so, accidents do happen (at school and elsewhere) and required medical care can be expensive. Please know that ECHS does not assume responsibility for such costs but does offer you access to several student accident insurance plans for voluntary purchase. Tutor.com Available for FREE
As a reminder, OUSD provides Tutor.com for FREE to all students! Every OUSD student can access Tutor.com at no-cost with 1-to-1 online tutoring in English and Spanish. Students also have access to use drop-off writing review, self-paced test prep from The Princeton Review®, as well as other learning resources. Students can access Tutor.com 24hrs a day every day of the year, except Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Tardy Policy: As a Responsible student, being on time to each class allows time to organize materials to focus on the lesson and/or activities for that class. Alternatively, students who are late to class, disrupt instruction, distract their classmates and may have a lower grade point average (GPA) due to missed instruction. Link to ECHS Tardy Policy
