ARGYLE ISD BOND: Community Presentations Starting April 2
Argyle ISD is providing multiple opportunities for parents and the community to learn more about the Bond 2024 package.
The district is hosting three community presentations starting in April. We encourage our parents and community members to attend and learn more about the bond and what is included in the three propositions. Superintendent Dr. Courtney Carpenter will lead the presentation and members of the district administration will be available to help answer questions and assist with bond information.
The Argyle ISD Bond 2024 will be funded using the existing tax rate and addresses the district's fast growth that aligns with the 10-year strategic growth plan.
Early voting begins April 22 and Election Day is May 4.
Community Bond Presentations
Tuesday, April 2 - 6 p.m. at Argyle Middle School auditorium
Wednesday, April 10 - 6 p.m. at Argyle High School auditorium
Thursday, April 11 - 6:30 p.m. at Argyle West Elementary cafeteria

Are You Registered to Vote? Deadline April 4
If you're new to the area or need to update your voter registration - or if you're not registered to vote -- we've got you covered!
Make sure your voice is heard in the upcoming May 4 election, which includes the Argyle ISD Bond 2024. The School Board Election will also be held May 4.
Voters must be registered by THURSDAY, APRIL 4 to participate in the May election. Check your registration status or start a new application using the links below:

Great Job West Elementary Yearbook Club!
Earlier this week the Argyle West Elementary Yearbook Club had a special appearance and make its own news for the yearbook! They were invited to lead the pledges at the Argyle Town Council meeting!
Argyle West teacher Stephanie Crawford led the club of 5th graders who did a fantastic job representing West Elementary. Great job, Eagles!! These students have been working hard to create and produce an awesome yearbook for everyone to enjoy.
STEM Night Was A Hit at South Elementary!
Argyle South Elementary hosted its second annual STEM night. It was a well-attended evening packed with exciting activities centered around engineering, science, and robotics.
Students and families enjoyed the opportunity to participate in fun activities and fellowship. Thank you to everyone who attended to make this such a special night for everyone!
STATE BOUND! AHS Art Student Advances to VASE
Argyle High School is home to many talented artists.
Argyle had 35 students and 49 artworks representing the school at the Region 11N Visual Art Scholastic Event recently. The student artwork included 44 receiving medals and one is headed to state!
The artwork "Inner Linked" by Zoey Bouquio has been selected for advancement to the Visual Scholastic State Event (VASE), which will be held in April at San Marcos High School.
Congratulations to Zoey for this outstanding recognition!
AHS Debate: Historic Results at STATE!
Huge congratulations to the AHS Debate Team for their incredible performance at not one but TWO State Debate meets over Spring Break!
They had historic results that truly show the dedication of these talented students.
At the Texas Forensics Association Debate meet the results were:
- Semifinalists in Congressional Debate: Caleb Leonard & Liyah Cha
- Semifinalist in Dramatic Interpretation: Alix Bourland
- Top Speaker State Champion in Cross Examination Debate: Addison High
The second State Meet was the UIL Cross Examination Debate meet. The results were:
- 6th Place Speaker in Conference 5A: Grant Parris
- 2nd Place Team: Grant Parris & Addison High
AHS Theatre: UIL One-Act Play Advances to Bi-District!
The AHS Theatre program's UIL One-Act Play has advanced to the Bi-District contest, scheduled for this Saturday in Irving.
At the District contest on March 19, Argyle received multiple awards, including:
All Star Technician: Davis Raffo
All Star Cast: Jake Allen and Anna Potter
Best Performer: Caleb Leonard
The UIL Theatrical Design announced finalists for the State Meet in May. AHS qualifiers include:
Group Design: Eason Michael, Zoey Bouquio, Alix Bourland, and Alyssa Patterson
Costume Design: Bailey Bostic
AHS Theatre: Hosting Murder Mystery April 20
The Argyle High School Theatre Department presents Murder At The Malt Shop on Saturday, April 20. Tickets are $35 apiece and includes admission and dinner. The event will be held at the AHS auditorium.

School Board Election 2024 - Two Places on Ballot

Band on the Run 5K Fundraiser - May 11
AHS Girls Powerlifting STRONG at STATE!
Argyle High School's two State Qualifiers showcased their strength at the State Powerlifting Championships in Frisco this past weekend.
Senior Cassidy Owen, a three-time State Qualifier, finished in an impressive 5th Place in the 165 lb division. She set personal records in all three lifts (Squat: 385 lbs, Bench: 225 lbs, Deadlift: 355 lbs) and was honored with a spot on the 2nd-Team Academic All-State Team.
Sophomore Lauren Mansfield made history as only the 5th female to qualify for State in Argyle High School's history. Despite being her first competitive year in powerlifting, Lauren showed incredible strength, setting personal records in Squat (370 lbs) and Bench (145 lbs). Lauren had a fantastic season overall.
AHS Boys Powerlifting is competing at State on March 22-23 so best of luck to them!
Lady Eagle Soccer Playoffs! Argyle Battles Midlothian
The Lady Eagle soccer playoffs are here!
Argyle opens the 2024 playoffs on Tuesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. vs. Midlothian at Mustang-Panther Stadium in Grapevine. This is a bi-district round matchup. Argyle is 11-10-1 overall and coming off a 1-0 victory against Denton in the regular season finale.

Baseball & Softball Action TONIGHT!
The Argyle Eagle baseball team is 11-2-2 overall and continues district action tonight at home vs. Richland. Game time is 7 p.m. The Eagles are coming off a 3-0 victory against Richland on the road Tuesday.
The Lady Eagle softball team is on the road Friday and will play at Grapevine at 7 p.m. The Lady Eagles (9-14) are coming off a 1-0 victory against Denton Ryan on Tuesday at home.

Argyle Community Egg-Stravaganza - March 24
Join us for a day of fun. In addition to hunting for eggs, there will be bounce houses and children can have their picture made with the Easter Bunny. The day begins with breakfast followed by Egg Hunts for each age group.
The event will be held Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Unity Park, next to the Sixth Grade Center.
