Please also include your child's name, their teacher's name and the reason for the retake (closed eyes, did not smile, etc) so that the photographers can endeavor to make sure the retake does not have the same concern.
Message from Ms. Bittle to 4th Grade families
November 1, 2019
Dear Parents or Guardians of 4th grade students,
I wanted to make you aware of changes in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Gifted Education Plan (2019-2021). Beginning this year, the district will be testing third and fifth grade students for possible identification in the gifted program. We will not be testing fourth grade students, unless the student is new to our district.
All students will continue to have opportunities for challenging work, as they demonstrate the need. Our teachers have resources available in their classrooms to differentiate instruction. In fifth grade, students can participate in the aptitude and achievement testing our district uses for possible gifted identification in reading, math, or both.
Sincerely,
Andrea Bittle

Message from Student Council about Books Over Break
Books Over Winter Break
Student Council is supporting “Books Over Winter Break”. Books Over Winter break is an opportunity for every Scroggs student to receive a book to take home over winter break. This endeavor is supported through the Book Fair. In order for this to happen, we need your help to raise money to support this worthy cause.
During this campaign period, November 4, 2019 - November 15, 2019, please bring in any amount of money or extra change and drop it off the Books Over Break table in the front lobby from 7:25 a.m. - 7:50 a.m.
Thank you for your support.
