Wednesday Note

A Note from the Principal
Greetings, WPA Families,
Did you know?
Niche, an independent company that ranks schools across the country ranks WPA as the number one charter elementary school in Davis County, 3rd in the Greater Salt Lake Area, and 14th for the state of Utah? We are proud of the hard work our teachers and students put into this accomplishment.
March 29th- April 6th
ENJOY YOUR SPRING BREAK!
5th Grade Maturation
Each spring, we provide parents with access to the materials they need to discuss the growth and changes students’ bodies will go through as they move into puberty. Although these materials were originally intended to be covered in 5th grade, we recognize that students may mature at different rates, and it may be beneficial for some families to utilize them earlier or more than once, depending on their child’s needs. If you would like to share the videos with your child that are created by Davis School District to discuss with your child, you may find them here:

Attendance Reminder
Did you know that missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence—excused or unexcused—can translate into students having difficulty learning to read by the third grade, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school? Missing 10% of school days, just two days each month can significantly impact education. Our goal is for students to miss less than 10 days of school each year. You can check your student's attendance online through Aspire or by calling the front office.
Free Little Library
Did you know that WPA has a free little library on campus? Our free little library is on the school garden's southeast corner. WPA students and other community members are welcome to stop by to take and donate books for use in our community.
