Life's Finest Showcase
- Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Sons, and Mrs. Ramirez (3rd grade rotation)- These teachers have been AMAZING as a team! My children love and praise them all on the weekly basis. They all communicate about the curriculum and provide ways we can help our children be prepared for the week. As a parent, I loved that they took the time to call me earlier in the year just to see how things were going and if I had any concerns as my children tend to be quiet in class. You can tell they are very passionate about their jobs and helping their students grow. Thank you all for your hard work.
- Mrs. Herbert- Well my son struggled in math on last year and this year being in her class he has done significantly better because he says she makes learning math fun. I want to thank her for making learning fun for our kids.
- 5th Grade Teachers- The 5th grade elections were so well thought-out and such a creative way for our students to actively participate in the democratic process. Kudos to the 5th grade teachers for coordinating this process and making it fun for the students. They were so excited to run for office and to vote, and it really emphasized making your voice count. Well done!
We would like to recognize LSRO staff for all the amazing things that they do each day for our students. If you have someone that you would like to brag about, please fill out this form and we will share the Shout Outs through the weekly Thursday Exchange.

As the Weather Cools Off...
With the temperatures dropping, please make sure to label your child’s jackets and sweaters with their first and last name. This helps us quickly return items to students if they get left behind in classrooms or on the playground.
Staying Healthy During Cold and Flu Season
As we enter cold and flu season, here are a few tips to help keep everyone healthy:
- Handwashing: Encourage frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before meals and after using the restroom.
- Cover Coughs and Sneezes: Remind your child to cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or their elbow to prevent the spread of germs.
- Stay Home When Sick: If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home to recover and help prevent spreading illness.
- Healthy Habits: Ensure your child is getting plenty of rest, staying active, and eating a balanced diet to support their immune system.
Thank you for helping us keep our school community healthy and safe this season!
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
Here are a few reminders to keep in mind:
- Follow the Arrival and Dismissal Maps: Please adhere to the designated routes on our maps to help minimize traffic and avoid congestion.
- Do Not Cut in Front of Other Vehicles: Allow vehicles to proceed in the order they arrive. This helps keep traffic flowing and ensures everyone’s safety.
- Use Designated Entrances and Exits: Enter only through the marked entrances and avoid using exits as entry points.
- Do Not Move Traffic Cones or Ropes: These are placed for safety and traffic management. Moving them disrupts the flow and creates potential hazards.
- Remain at a Safe Speed and Put Your Phone Away: Please stay focused on the road and maintain a safe speed at all times to ensure the safety of everyone on campus.
- Drop Off Students Only Through Arrival Lines: All students must be dropped off through the arrival lines. Dropping off in the parking lot or on the other side of the church is not safe, as students are not monitored in these areas.
- Pick Up Students Only Through Dismissal Lines: All parents and families must pick students up in the dismissal lines. Parents are not permitted to walk into the building to pick up a student. Additionally, all parents must have a hangtag to pick up their student from school. If you do not have your hangtag, please come to the office to retrieve one and then rejoin the carline.
- Doors Open at 7:15 AM: Remember, our doors do not open until 7:15 AM. Prior to this time, students will not be permitted into the building and are not supervised by Life School staff. Dropping students off early, without adult supervision, is not safe.
- Respect All Families: We share our parking lot with Oaks Learning Center. Please be mindful of their parents who are also picking up and dropping off young children. Avoid blocking intersections, follow all stop signs, and be courteous in allowing them to enter and exit safely.
Life Habits
Every day we have Life Habits time that is focused on building social, emotional and behavioral skills. Each week we will post Life Habits conversation starters in our newsletter that are aligned with the Life Habits lessons from the week. We will also have signs in the pick up line for you to access the questions of the week. We hope you enjoy hearing about what your child is learning at school.
DEVELOPING LEADERS AT LSRO
Weekly I Will Statements
During morning announcements, we will focus on one LifeLeader Attribute each week and learn what we need to do to develop each attribute so that we can become effective leaders in our school and in our community. We encourage students and families to memorize these statements together and talk about how the attribute is exhibited at home, school and work. We will share the I Will statement in the weekly newsletter and on our campus Facebook page. We look forward to hearing how students are exhibiting the attributes at school and home. Click here to view all 15 LifeLeader attributes.
BREAKFAST & LUNCH
All households need to complete the Free and Reduced Price School Meal Application each school year, even if your child does not purchase school meals. The application is available throughout the school year and available to complete again should your family have a change in income or additional family members in the household.
Click here to view the breakfast and lunch menus.
Breakfast is served each day from 7:15-7:45.
