Eat a Rainbow Week 4
Create a rainbow meal this week or maybe two!! Now that we have learned more about eating colorful fruits and veggies and hopefully tried a few new ones- How about creating a rainbow meal?!?! Click HERE to make a fun, colorful pizza game.
Wednesday, April 24th - we will make a sticker rainbow based on the colorful fruits and veggies that our Olive students eat at lunch. I would love to see and hear about new fruits and veggies that students have discovered!
Students Learn About Writing Poetry From Author Michelle Schaub
It was a great way to celebrate Poem In Your Pocket Day with a visit from Illinois poet, Michelle Schaub! She shared ideas about how to be on the look-out for treasures (ideas) to include in our writing and how to carefully choose words to add to our poems. Thank you to the PTA for sponsoring her visit! Click HERE to see photos of Ms. Schaub’s visit.
OMS Celebrates Poem In Your Pocket Day
We traded and shared poems all day long on our Poem in Your Pocket Day on Thursday, April 25. Each student chose a poem to type and carry in his/her pocket. During scheduled trading times during the day, they read their poems aloud and traded them to students from a different class.
