It's a new week!
We hope this newsletter finds you well on this beautiful Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember those who we hold close to our hearts.
We cannot believe that this is the last week of June and there are 15 days of school left. It's amazing how fast the school year goes. That saying rings true, the days are long, but the years are fast. We had a Zoom this week reminding students that even though we are close to the end of the year, our behavior expectations are still the same. If you could remind them as well, we would really appreciate the support.
Have a wonderful day!
With kindness,
BC & SS
Hockinson Fun Days!
On Friday night, we will be calling BINGO numbers at HHS from 6:00-8:30pm. This is always a fun event, and there are wonderful prizes for a well earned BINGO.
On Saturday, our very own HMS marching band will be marching in the Fun Days parade! We hope you will join us to cheer them on. The parade will begin at 12:00pm.
Before the parade, we will be walking around the Country Fair Carnival. If any of your students would like to volunteer at the games, please let our office know!
Most importantly, Mr. Slom will have a 15 minute appearance at the Dunk Tank! He is way braver than me!

Chromebook Information
This is a friendly reminder that it is important for students to keep the protective cases on their school issued Chromebooks to protect them from accidental damage. If you opted into the Hockinson Assurance Program at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year, and your student's Chromebook is damaged while any part of the case is off, the cost of repair will not be covered by your assurance as is stated in the exclusions section of the assurance form.
Here is the Hockinson Assurance Program form if you would like to take a closer look at what it offers, including coverage and exclusions. If you opted out of the assurance program at the beginning of the year and would like to have assurance coverage, you can opt-in at any time after your student's Chromebook has been inspected for damage. A paper form can be sent home with your student, or you can make an online payment through InTouch, the HSD payment portal.
