MARCH 17 - 27
COVID - 19 Update
Staff Expectations
Your continued patience is appreciated as we continue to manage precautions and preparations surrounding COVID-19, otherwise known as coronavirus. We are constantly checking in with and receiving updates from local and state health agencies to ensure our plans will keep students, staff, and community members safe and healthy. The situation is changing rapidly, and we will communicate with you as changes are made.
While schools were ordered to be closed for two weeks, we believe it is important for students to engage in learning activities. While we are not sending daily school work for students to complete, we have compiled activities that provide for the continuity of learning. These activities can be accessed by visiting the main page of our division website, www.greenecountyschools.com. In addition, they will be distributed in hard copy during meal pick ups. These activities are not meant to replace educational services, but to foster learning experiences that students look forward to each day.
Because we cannot maintain equity of access, and cannot guarantee that students will be able to access work, we are sending activities from the division to keep students engaged rather than trying to replace in-school learning activities. Any activities shared with students or parents should not be required or graded. Activities have been compiled for students and can be accessed on each school’s website.
In order to maintain social distancing, each building will have minimal staff. If you need to access the building, we request that you check in with the front office and minimize your travel in the building.
