Good Afternoon, SPN Family!
As we move quickly through October, I want to take a moment to express how much I enjoy being in the classrooms with our students and teachers. The industriousness of our students and the quality of their interactions with teachers are truly inspiring. I learn something new every day!
3V Speaker - Captain John KeiltyToday, our middle school students had the privilege of hearing from Captain John Keilty. His insights on moral toughness, drawn from his experiences as a husband, father, student-athlete, coach, teacher, and Navy fighter pilot, greatly inspired our students. Thank you, Captain Keilty, for your valuable time!
Art Days with Mr. Garcia
Today marks the first of several Art Days led by Mr. Garcia! We're thrilled to have a great number of students signed up. Additional sessions will be scheduled if needed. Here are the upcoming dates:
- October 23
- October 30
- November 6
- November 8
Sessions will run from 3:30-5:30 PM in the Activity Center. While the desks are free, we kindly request a $10 art fee to cover the epoxy resin for the artwork. Parents are welcome to join in on this fun project! Participants should bring a reference picture of their chosen painting. Click HERE to sign up!
All Hallow's Eve - Saturday 6:00pm
Join us this weekend for our All Hallow's Eve event! We still have a few tables available for Table Hosts. If you're interested, please contact PTO President Lecye Lippoldt at lecyedoolen@gmail.com. Expect an evening full of games, crafts, costumes, and plenty of candy! While saint costumes are recommended, they are not required. This event is open to the entire community, so feel free to bring friends! See you Saturday at 6:00pm in the Family Life Center!
Veterans Day Program
Mark your calendars for our Annual Veterans Day Program on Monday, November 11th, at 1:30 PM. We will host a cookie social for Veterans and Active Duty Military members at 1:00 PM. Our grade school students have been hard at work with Ms. Jones to prepare classic songs. You won't want to miss it!
Sports Updates
Middle School Girls Volleyball: Our team will compete in the CGSAA Post-Season Tournament this weekend at Bishop McGuinness Catholic HS. The Lady Falcons play at 6:45 PM and 8:15 PM on Saturday. Go Falcons!
Season Wrap-Up: The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Lady Falcons volleyball teams completed their season last week. They showed significant improvement and finished strong! A big thank you to our parent volunteer coaches for their dedication to our student-athletes.
Basketball Open Gym
With basketball season approaching, we will host Open Gyms for 4th - 8th grade students interested in playing. Here’s the schedule:
- Thursday, October 24: 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM
- Tuesday, October 29: 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM
- Wednesday, October 30: 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM
Before Care Reminder
A quick note for those attending before care in the mornings: Please refrain from bringing any food containing nuts to ensure the safety of students with nut allergies. Thank you for your understanding!
