Important Dates For Families - Hayes Hybrid Students Return Back To School
The district is following guidelines in the state’s recently updated Minnesota Safe Learning Plan and will implement a ‘rolling start’ approach to returning our youngest students to school. This phased in approach will begin at the start of Semester 2 on February 1.
February 1:
- Kindergarten and Grade 1 students return to school in person four days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. All students will participate in distance learning on Wednesday.
- Students in kindergarten and Grade 1 who chose to be in full distance learning from the beginning of the school year will remain in distance learning.
- Grades 2-4 students will remain in distance learning through Friday, February 12.
February 15:
- Presidents’ Day – NO SCHOOL for all students and staff
February 16:
- Kindergarten – Grade 4 students return to learning at school in person five days a week.
- Kindergarten and Grade 4 who chose to be in full distance learning from the beginning of the school year will remain in distance learning.
Guidelines to help maintain safety of students and staff:
The district will continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in Anoka County and the City of Fridley. As students and staff return to school in-person, we will follow recommended guidelines to help keep students and staff safe including:
- Face mask requirements for staff and students.
- Continued cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
- Bi-weekly access to COVID-19 saliva test for staff.
