Expectations
Please be vigilant in reminding and holding accountably our scholars to the expectations outlined in the Scholar Handbook and especially those upon which we as a staff agreed to focus on this year. I am including a copy of these agreed upons below for your convenience. Thank you for your support!
- Hoods are not to be worn on your head. If your jacket, sweatshirt, etc. has a hood, keep the hood off of your head.
- Shirts, tops, and blouses must meet the top of your pants standing and sitting. Midriffs must not be exposed.
- Shirts, tops, and blouses must cover the chest.
- Cell phone use is not permitted in the classroom. Your teacher will provide a holder for your cell phone. You will receive an office referral if you refuse to place your phone in the designated area.
- You may not obtain a hall pass unless you leave your phone in the classroom.
- No student may receive a hall pass during the first and last 10 minutes of a class period (10/10 Rule).
- When you get permission to go to the restroom, you must use the restroom closest to your classroom.
- Help to keep the lunch room and Scholar Center clean. Place your trash in the trash can and push your chair up to the table.
Parent Contacts
Communication between school and home is essential to student success. We encourage teachers to make those positive initial phone calls home. The upcoming Directed Instruction Day on August 30th would be a great time to get those phone calls made!
Please document your communication with parents and guardians. If you do not have a contact log, you can use the sample found HERE to get you started.
