I hope this message finds you well! As we continue to foster a vibrant and engaging learning environment, I’m excited to share that we kicked off a new fundraiser in partnership with Big Kahuna. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to $15,000 to support campus activities, student incentives, rewards, and other essential school needs.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and families to come together to make a real difference. Stay tuned for more details on how you can participate and help us reach our goal. The Collegiate Prep Elementary 1st Grade Presents
This is America!
The First grade students of Collegiate Prep Elementary will be performing their first musical called This is America. The program will be Monday, November 11, 2024 at 6:15pm in the auditorium. There are several things each parent needs to know in order for the program to be a success.
Attire for the Program
Zapata’s Class-Red shirts and jeans
Johnson’s Class-White shirts and jeans
White’s Class-Blue shirts and jeans
Arrival Times and Location
Students will arrive at Collegiate Prep on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 5:45pm. They should report to the music room and be already dressed and prepared to perform. The program will begin at 6:15pm after the PTA meeting.
Songs in Schoology
I have posted the songs in the Schoology music class folder. Students will be able to work on the songs at home. The songs were also posted in the 1st grade newsletter.

Thanksgiving Luncheon - Sign up is closed

This is just a reminder about our thanksgiving luncheon. Please see the details below:
Date: November 22, 2024.
When: Thanksgiving Lunches will be served during each grade level lunch schedule.
Cost: Lunches will be $4.75.
Please sign up using the link below if you plan on attending the luncheon.
You can pay with cash or add funds to your scholars' mypaymentplus accounts to pay for the meal.
There is a limit to how many guests we can allow due to the number of servings.
Deadline: The deadline has passed to sign up.
(This is a hard deadline because we have to order food.)

The Collegiate Prep Campus Spelling bee will occur this week on November 15, 2024. Finalists from the 4th and 5th Grade Classroom Spelling Bees will compete for the title of Collegiate Spelling Champ. Parents of the finalist will be able to attend the Spelling Bee as well. We look forward to seeing the awesome things that your scholars will do this week. Good Luck Scholars!!!!!

The fundraiser will kick off on November 6 and end on December 3, 2024. Students will have the chance to sell a variety of fun and delicious products. Your support is crucial to our success!
Help your child by promoting the fundraiser with family, friends, and neighbors. Consider sharing the online catalog link on social media or through email. You may register online using the information in your fundraising packets.
Our fundraising window begins on November 6, 2024, at 8:00 AM and goes until December 3rd, 2024. Online sales will continue until December 10th, 2024.

BUS TRANSPORTATION
Bus Assignments
Each scholar, new or returning, must register for Transportation services through their student skyward account. Students will only be scheduled on one school bus to one primary residential address.
A non-eligible student may not ride on a school bus unless they have received a Temporary Scholar pass from the home campus principal or other designated administrator.
Arrive at Pick-Up 5 Minutes Early
Times posted on this site reflect the expected time the bus should arrive during good weather. Inclement weather or traffic congestion may cause the route to run later than the posted time. We ask that all students be at their bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled time to avoid missing the bus.

BUS DROP OFF AFTER SCHOOL
Dropping Off Kindergarten-2nd Grade Students
Parents or a documented designee must be at the bus stop to receive students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to 2nd grade. If no one is there to receive the student, the student will be returned to the campus.
It is the responsibility of the parent to see that students who are returned to school are picked up. Any student returned three times will have his or her riding privileges suspended for the remainder of the school year.
Designated Stop/Changes
Students will be picked up and dropped off at the student’s designated bus stop. Only one location for pick-up and drop-off will be allowed.
BUS STUDENT CONDUCT REMINDER
Consequences for Violation of Conduct:
The school bus is an extension of the classroom and campus, and discipline will be administered by campus administrators. All school board policies that apply to student conduct and other student-related activities apply to the school bus.
The driver may pull the bus over and stop to safely manage student behavior.
- If the student refuses to comply with a reasonable request, the driver will report the incident to the Assistant Director or Director upon returning to the Transportation Department.
- The Operations Supervisor shall investigate the incident and notify the driver of the action taken.
Note: In the case of serious misconduct that endangers the safety of other students or the driver, the student(s) may be removed from the bus by any school official or law enforcement official.
The district has updated our Academic Calendar for the upcoming school year. Spring Break has been changed. Spring Break will now be observed from March 10-14, 2025, moving up one week earlier from the previously scheduled dates of March 17-21, 2024.
