Your voice matters! Please take this 10-minute online survey. Here’s why:
- Parent/guardian feedback is important for our district to plan purposeful programs for your child’s success.
- Every year, your school sets a goal for survey participation. Your response will help your school meet their goal.

Why are we asking you to take this survey?
Each school district in California must develop an annual plan, called the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The plan describes the school district’s overall vision for students, outlines its goals, and lists specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals. As part of the process, each school district must engage students, parents, employees, and the community.
This survey represents the chance to have a voice in the process. You may review NMUSD LCAP documents on the NMUSD LCAP Website.
Survey Window
The survey will be open from Monday, February 10th through Friday, February 28th and is available at the following link: https://hanover-research.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cOU7CoGsokk6AGG.
If you have questions or would like to provide additional input, please send an email to LCAPFeedback@nmusd.us.
A Quick Note About Communication During the School Day
Teachers make every effort to check ClassDojo and respond to messages when possible. However, please understand that they are teaching and may not be able to read or respond to messages in real-time.
If you need to communicate an urgent change—such as a change in pick-up plans or busing arrangements—we kindly ask that you contact the office directly instead of relying on ClassDojo. This ensures your message is received and acted upon promptly. We recommend reaching out at least one hour before the end of the school day or, if possible, making any necessary arrangements in the morning.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support as we work together to provide the best experience for our students.
As we approach Presidents' Week, we want to take a moment to wish all of our students and families a wonderful and well-deserved break! This is a great opportunity to relax, recharge, and spend quality time together. Whether you're traveling, enjoying activities close to home, or simply taking it easy, we hope your week is filled with joy and fun.
Please remember that the Adams Elementary office will be closed from February 17–21. We will reopen on Monday, February 24, and look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for the remainder of the school year.
Thank you for being such a valued part of our school community. Enjoy the break, and we’ll see you soon!

Adams Elementary After School Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO) Program
Adams After School Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO) is a FREE program provided through NMUSD’s Engagement, Partnership, and Expanded Learning Department. The program is open to students in TK-6th grade and runs 5 days a week from the end of the school day to 6 pm each school day*. Students must be registered and accepted into the program to attend and participate in ELO programs after school.
If you are interested in the FREE After School Program, please visit https://bit.ly/4dlkpbW to access and complete a Google Interest Form. Submitting this form will place your child(ren) on a waitlist for the After School Program at Adams Elementary School. The ELO Program Admin or Bilingual Office Assistant will reach out to you with more information about how to enroll your child(ren) in this program, if space is available.
The ELO program prioritizes enrollment for Foster Youth, McKinney-Vento, and English Learners. The program also considers students as a priority who remained on the waitlist through the end of the previous school year. Acceptance into the program is based on need and availability.
Program requirements include mandatory after school attendance when students are in school during the day. Students with absences in excess of 10% of the of the school year are subject to program termination. Students may be excused for participation in extracurricular activities after school with accepted documentation.
Recommended pick-up times are between 4:00 and 4:15 pm or 5:00 and 5:30 pm. An evening bus arrives at Adams around 5:10 pm to pick-up students with an approved district bus pass. For more information on the evening bus, please contact the district transportation department at 714-424-5080. Students not picked up by 6:00 pm are subject to program termination. If parents/emergency contacts cannot be reached at 6:00 pm authorities will be contacted to pick up students remaining on campus.
