School Counselor Corner

Countdown, Smountdown. Have you started counting down to the last day of school? We only have 18 1/2 more days together and while summertime is a much needed time to rest and relax and reset, I am going to miss every child dearly.

This last month of lessons, we focus on tying everything together. It is a time of transition, reflection, and celebration!

3rd-5th grade will be focusing on Transitions from grade level to grade level, school to summer, and even from Elementary School to Middle School. They will also be completing a Mental Health Scavenger hunt as their final Sources of Strength lesson to remind them of all of the strengths they have in their lives to help them through challenges.

5th grade gets to complete their Movin' On Up activities and Shadow Day at the Middle School this month. Keep an eye out for permission forms and more information! :)

K-2nd grade are Celebrating growth as well this month in terms of what they have become stronger in this year as well as how to continue growing in our strengths.

Grades 1st-5th grade are going to do a school-wide celebration of Sources Week!

May 28th, 29th, and 30th will be Sources Week where the entire school celebrates growth and each other. We will have a daily Color Dress Up Day Challenge followed by an end-of-the-week field day on Thursday afternoon. Winning class of the color dress up days will win Doughnuts with Mrs. Galli during our last day together.

Kindergarten will do a classroom celebration to go along with Sources week during their regular class time and will also be included in the Color Dress Up Day Challenge.

I will be gone at a conference the week of May 6-9 so we will not have lessons this week
